OK, I've got a confession to make. 45,000 miles and I've never lubed the chassis. I'm ready to do it now, but how many zerks are there and where are they? I've found three so far. And how many pumps of lube would you put in based upon my lack of service so far?

I was just under the truck today changing diff and transfer case oils, along with the normal oil and filter change. There are three on the 2001. I've looked everywhere for any others that can be hidden but there aren't any. Stick your head under front fender and look down behind fender an you'll see one for each side. There is also another one that you'll see if you look at your front diff, just to the top left on the cross bar.

You found them all  I drilled and tapped , then installed zerts on all joints so I could maintain the chassis the proper way, had to take both wheels off to do it but it was well worth it ... ... ... ... Kevin

I found those three. So should I lube until it comes out then? I thought these were sealed somehow and too much grease would blow the seal. But I'm a novice so that's why I'm checking.

Watch your seals and stop when there puffed out . Your better shops will not blow grease out . Aside from the sloppy mess ,blowing grease will stretch and tear seals and there is no reason to do it.
