'07 Smarty Impressions?

Smarty is on the way!

If you don't care about smoke then just get the Smarty and you'll love it, But if you don't like smoke then don't get it because it makes a ton of smoke, but that's a good thing.

I love my Smarty but I have had no luck trying to get my cruise to function correctly with it loaded on anything but stock. Tried the the "fix" but it won't help on my non-HO truck. Still, the truck is alot more fun to drive with a Smarty.

what year truck? maybe we can find a solution

Not sure... I have only used stock, 8, 9. If you keep you foot out of it and drive nice your mileage should go up... ... . but who does that? :-laf

I'm thinking of pulling the ez off and selling it, are you guy's saying to leave the ez on and just add the smarty programs Don
I would leave the EZ on and try it first with the smarty... you can always sell it later, besides, I think it will help with the top end, otherwise with just the smarty, the top gets a little flat.

You will probably find the smoke is easy to control with your foot. But, if you want it to smoke, it will. :-laf

HVAC (r. i. p. ) turned me on the the HP thing. While I've stayed pretty conservative, I'd have to say that the Smarty was one of my bests investments on the HP path.

After using the Smarty I resolved a few issues with the truck that turned out to have no connection with the Smarty. It was just coincidence and nothing more. Yes, my truck is aging quickly and the wisdom of adding more HP should have made me think a bit more before dropping the credit card. But, so much for wisdom. I would do it again... :)

Go ahead and get one, I don't think you will be disappointed!

Guy's I don't smoke much with the e-z and I don't want to have soot all over my fifth wheel when towing, with that being said I wont mind putting some smoke down going stop sign to stop sign with the ford's behind me but I can't have soot all over my 5er either, one trip this summer will be over 3000 miles, please keep the imput coming Don

Smoke is easily controllable... I run sw 8 year round, 115hp injectors, stock turbo (till I switch em out) and in 90 degree heat I can take off with no smoke if I want to. I can also turn automatic headlights on if I try so there is a lot of room to play.

My brothers truck is bone stock except smarty & he has no smoke at all. He ran #9 & said that he couldn't get a puff.

Mine on level 3 will smoke pre boost build up... . if i want it too (e. g. punch it before the boost comes on)... . it's pretty controllable and not very noticible during the day... .

Cummins724..... have your brother get on the freeway at night, drive 50-60mph and punch it..... on level 9 i'm pretty sure it'll block out the moon!

Yah, it's not something that should keep you from buying it. It is controllable but not if you have a heavy right foot.

I have a smarty on a stock truck. I have it at #5 empty and I picked up almost 2 mpg. I average 5K miles per month so mileage was an important issue for me. On #3 the mileage gain was very close to #5

Do it, it makes the truck so much more pleasurable to drive. If you act like an adult, there should not be trans problems on #3
