Would like to get the torque to come in at a lower rpm,

Don't like the delay to 2000 rpm before the " cummins power "

I run a truck camper 90 perct of the driving,

Do not want to 'bomb', just get a little extra low end,,,,

Trying to figure what is best: Download vs splice in?

Easy install and Not traceable by dealer ( still have 3 yrs warrenty by dodge book have not had a vp44 problem yet, but plan on pushing dodge if needed)

Many " Smarty" responses, Wonder if I need one for just the minor

power increase I am looking for, vs something cheaper and easier,

Would be nice to be able to switch power in/out vs download,

There are so many " performance " adders, very confusing... .

Thanks. .

The smarty will give you the largest boost in power below 2000RPM. It is the only power adding electronic device that is not detectible by the dealer. You could put some small injectors in , 275's or so but they won't give you anywhere near the bottom end a smarty can.

After saying that, you shouldn't do any mods without boost and egt gauges.

Ditto... . I tow heavy & Smarty is by far the best upgrade for low rpm grunt. It is untraceable by the dealer & installs in your truck in 1 1/2 minutes. It also reads DTC's in plain text & the programming is by far the best I have seen by far. I've tried Banks, Edge, Bullydog, Superchips & they don't even compare to smarty on low end power.
