Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

It is rough. Needs front end work. Dowel pin and front cover done last year. 300,000+ miles. It has torque plate, not sure on #. Seat is wore out. I'll try to get a number posted.

Yeah, a number or even just an address would be cool. I'd like something like that just to use around the house. My 2wd dually is always getting stuck in our field.

Well, they're a pretty good bunch... overall.

I think you'll have to join MTPA or pay extry fees every time.

The HB guard/shield I THINK can simply be a plate under the bottom. There's no other way it can come out. Talk to Joey or Jack or some other established puller in that bunch. And don't be surprised if you get different opinions.

I haven't looked at the rules. Don't have to. I'm too broke to risk breaking anything and my shop has been eaten up by antiques.

I did go up there year before last and tried to get some sort of diesel truck class started and they weren't interested. Don't know who got interested in the bunch, but we'll see. I would like for it to be a real street truck class, but am afraid that it'll turn into a trailer queen situation.

Maybe after a year or two of rules sorting out and head butting, I'll be able to git right in there and hook with 'em.

over.

Yeah, I just happened to look at them again today, and they have changed about half of what they put up over the weekend. It looks like they are really trying to keep it a "street" truck class. Just some additions,

Now it is a 9,000 class instead of 10,000lbs

No water meth/NOS/Propane

Stock appearing turbo

Exhaust exit behind cab.

It looks to be that it will be a good thing if you can get pass the safety stuff.

you better call MY buddy Chris when you do your calling. his is comming out the front of the cab

BACK OFF PAL! I've known him longer! #@$%! :-laf :-laf

Yeah looks like he needs to do a single stack in the bed to interchange where they dont' allow that.

Bad thing is I talked to him a couple of hrs ago and forgot to mention this! DOH!

That is sweet Meacham. You gonna have her ready for the TS gig in May? I hope so. I'll be there to cheer you on.

Hey Joe, I think this is the line your looking for:

"You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me? Then who the hell else are you talkin' to? You talkin' to me? Well I'm the only one here PAL!" ;) :p

The Beast is going to paint Wednesday and the interior, exterior, fuel plumbing, suspension, and lettering will be finished in a week and a half. All I should have to do is put the water system, engine, and trans in and do tons of wiring. We're going to do extensive engine dynoing before the install. I plan to race at TS if we can do some testing. :)

?

Not trying to interupt here, but who in Nashville area can install a set of Don M injectors and a SB DD clutch? I'm quite capable to help and supply the brew but am not smart enough to takle it on my own. I'm wanting to get it done in the next month or so and may even do the turbo at the same time if I can discide on one by then. Lead me in the right direction or tell me what you would charge me to do it! Thanks, John

Depends on which side of Nashville your on. If your on the East side of Nashville there's MEvins (above) of Cedar City Diesel in Lebanon, TN.

If your West of Nashville there's Joe Underwood of "Underwood Tire" in Dickson, TN. Both have installed injectors, DD clutches, turbos, etc. before and are very knowledgeable in there work. ;)

Yes, the aforementioned shops do excellent work.

And Bean in Woodbury (50 miles SE from Nasty) can do it too--but the BEER tab will be higher. :-laf

Injectors are pretty easy, and I'd recommend DIY'ing there with an experienced hand somewhere nearby. Clutch work is best done by professionals with good equipment. It's certainly a job you don't want to do twice or get hurt doing. ;)

My shop has been consumed by things that pay rent...

Meacham, that's some beautiful work. Unless I'm looking at it wrong though, it appears to be set up to use an intercooler. I thought you were going to run it without an intercooler?

If you're running with one, why the change of plans? Just interested/curious.

Some fella I don't know got a hold of me through a friend a week or so ago. Inj pump shot. I heard he got it replaced last week, and now is wanting to sell the truck. I think it's an 01/02 QC/LB auto, leather, etc... I'm going to help him put it in the classifieds. If anyone happens to know anyone who might be looking, I think this might be a good buy. I have no other particulars at this time.

Andy,

The compressor outlet on the small charger that is on the manifold will connect to the inlet for the intake manifold directly across the valve cover. No innercooler. That head should be able to flow at least 45 or 50 lbs of boost don't you think? There will be a radiator, I decided not to pour the block.
