Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

flow 45 or 50lbs? Aren't you forgetting a "1" in front of those numbers lol!!!

Yeah, I remember talking about the radiator last time I was at the shop.

So wait wait wait... the compressor outlet on the SMALL charger will connect to the inlet of the manifold? Where does the outlet of the BIG charger go? Surely not into the inlet of the SMALL charger? You'll have to excuse me, I have a simple mind...

From the pics, it looked like the intake manifold would point down (as in pick up from intercooler). I figured a "reverse mount" would be neccessary to pick up from the chargers outlet, but from the look of the intake, I wouldn't think it would clear the hood mounted that way... . but whatta I know. lol.

Andy,

The compressor outlet on the big charger feeds the air inlet on the small charger. The air comes into the air inlet on the big charger. It compresses the air coming in the 5-5. 5" inlet to a 4" outlet and into the 4" inlet on the small charger. It compresses the air in the 4" inlet to a 3" outlet and into the intake. The problem is in matching the chargers. I will now be using a large frame s-400 charger as the small charger and an HX-82 as the large one. The wheel and housing sizes will be tested together. If the small charger is too small the large charger will superheat the compressor. I'm learning myself how little I know about big power. I just hope I get to experience big power first hand.

Meacham

Hey everyone. Its me Brad that works at underwood with Joe. I thought I would join the darkside so I could tell meacham that his parts look really sweet. I cant wait to see that thing in person. I guess if I am going to work on dodges all day long I might as well join in and get to talk to everyone on here:-laf .

John, I'd be happy to walk you through the injector install at my place. I have all the tools and covered space to work in.

Andy, i appreciate the offer, but due to my busy schedule, i think i'm going to take it to a pro and let him do the whole thing. I can probably make more $ stamping concrete than I could save changing my own injectors. I'll call round tomorrow and see if anyone is willing to run a deal or trade for some top notch concrete work.

Thanks for all the leads and even a few pm,s.

Welcome Brad!

This ain't the dark side, this is the home of enlightened individuals! You and Joe are getting awful close, though, flirting around with that D-Max. Messing with extra cylinders will lead to the dark side!

Scott

I wouldnt mind having a 12v or common rail twin turbos over in the 350, I wouldnt be picky. Corey you and me just need to swap engines out, the powerstroke swap in place of a cummins is pretty good. I wouldnt charge you too much for it:-laf Scott, you will have to run back by the shop sometime, everytime you come over I need a tool in the back of your truck:D

Meacham, if you need a back up driver I am here. ;)

I just hope I don't have to use my port-a-power to pry my butt out of my truck after a run.

Dont worry, the crap in your pants is a good lubricator to slide you right out. Now we may need the jaws of life to pry your fingers loose from the wheel though. :)

Brad, wish I knew someone droppin a CTDCR in a 350.

Meacham, like andy said, I think the only trouble you will have is trying to get rid of that huge grin on your face.

Bean, I have heard about you putting a cr in your truck. I would like to see how it turns out. A common rail would be awesome in the 350. Ever since I seen a f-550 with a cr cummins I have been wanting one. The only problem I have seen with most conversions is that little things like the a/c compressor use v-belts and wiring looks hacked together but I have not seen any in person, just some over the net.

Will all your factory gauges/idiot lights still work? Most people that swap engines use them for sled pulling or drag racing and dont care about the little things but I want to be able to drive across country pulling a trailer and everything work great. We will be at your dyno day so maybe I can see it then. It will solve alot of my questions if I see it in person.

All gauges and tach will work, hopin that the cruise will work but havnt gotten that far yet.

Accesories will all be Dodge Accessories under the serp belt. It will look as close to factory as you can get with somethin like I will have.

That sounds good. Like I said, I will like to look it over at the dyno day. I need a few ideas.

I am sorry to say there is another dodge truck in the line up:-laf . Berry across the street is selling his 05 d-max daily driver and picked up a 06 2500 sport with 36 miles on it today. Of course already had to make it black smoke some.

Anyone out there? Dont be scared of the fords. :-laf j/k I can pretend to be a dodge owner if that helps. My vp-44 is out again. ouch:p :-laf

Just having a little fun. This should get it going.

It's payback time!

OK Anthony, you got me! I put one up with you having fun and you put one up with me being choked by a tie! I think we are even!

Lots of BIG RIGS here, every major player, got a first hand look at a cutaway 6. 7L and bought some goodies from the Cummins trinket gotta have it store, it makes for a long day. I put more pics on Product and Accessories forum.

Two more days then home, do the laundry, then Miami FL. to do more training.

Boy Garry, you've got it ruff, do you drive that trk or is it your trailer quean?

we got the duramax going yesterday... . wow... . i have never seen a d-max run like this one or smoke. i am going to say it is 500hp to the ground:eek: right now it is idling a bit hi and at present it is a trailer quean. i am looking for a 3rd gen 1 ton 4x4 if you all see one let me know.

Joe:)
