2nd Gen (98-02) Smarty features wants/wishes

Is there any way to get the rev limiter past 3800? Say 4500 rpm maybe. Unlimited would be nice too

Just found this thread myself searching for any word on updates. I would like to see extended RPM and like "FTwardoch" mentioned, falling on it's face when shifting into O/D. If I run to redline with O/D off and then turn it on it's fine, but let it shift into O/D on it's own and you about go through the windshield.



I'd also like to see "BD R. A. D" type torque management elimination... with the ability to keep the instrument cluster alive of course.

They haven't forgot... . Marco is gonna address these issues/wants soon. He is tied up with updates for the 06-07 models. There are rumors floating around that he is trying to clone himself to be more productive. :-laf :-laf Bobs words!

If Marco did do a few "updates" how many of you would be willing to pay for them or, would you expect them to be free? And, what would you be willing to give up, I suspect the Smarty is out of memory capacity, thus the 3 different options for SW 0...

I would gladly pay for special programs..... like the Drag Comp upgrade.

I didnt mean for my other post to sound negative. I dont mean to offend anyone. I would like to see some of the same features others have posted. But, I would hope we would still have a choice to download them or not (maybe even for a fee). As far as the memory thing goes, I have asked the question before but it has yet to be answered.

This is probably dividable into two areas - the 'wants' for newer/tricker features (which maybe should be at a cost) and the other side - the group of us wanting to get rid of what we feel are problems (such as the many auto transmission shifting complaints) - those are simply updates that should be done promptly and at no cost IMHO.

It is my understanding that the ECM memory is not large enough to support more than one program, thus no way to use a "shift on the fly" dual program.



As far as for new Hot Rod programs, it is also my understanding that there is no way to up the peak hp without tapping the pump wire. (IE- Comps/TST etc. )



Personally, I like the mannal high idle.
