I have a basicly stock 2002 QC 2500 4x4 I just rolled 100k miles and the transmission let go. no 1st, barley have reverse and slips all other gears. Flood level is fine and clean.

I DD 100 miles and tow about 10k twice a month in good wether. I would like to add a smarty ,rv275's and E-brake after the trannie is fixed. I have talked to a few shops that quoted $6500+ (TC, VB, Billet input, basic rebuild) for new slushbox. Is this a reasonable price? Any other options? I believe you get what you pay for, just want to make sure I'm not throw away $$.

For what you listed there, $6500 sounds high. Give DTT a call (866 504-4002), and get a quote from them. You'll know where you stand then on your price quote.

DTT, NADP, Suncoast, ATS. Supposedly all make good autos. Only on I have experience with is ATS and it was a Ford 4R100 behind a 7. 3. It was not my truck but I helped with all the work, we did the swaps in my shop (yes, swapS). I can't say one good thing about the whole experience. He is happy because the truck is driveable but I am waiting to see what happens when we start the power build this fall. He wants 800HP daily. Supposed to be a 1000HP transmission. We'll see.
