Dawna,
I never screamed at anyone over the phone. I've had the alternator bracket modified 3 times by two different shops to make it work. I've basically payed for the bracket at least 4 times and bought more than that many belts to make it right. I'm not about to pull my truck apart to send things back, that would be jouvenille. After not getting the answers you said Rolland or Ken would provide, i gave up. Seemed logical to me, i wasn't getting answers so i quit asking.
If you have done a Ford Super Duty with a 7. 3 '99-'03 almost everything will be the same in an Excursion. I've even swapped in all 2006 F-350 steering and suspension system. The trucks are not all that different. I know Scott is carrying your parts, who do you think he talks to about where to get good parts? I've told him what i could based on experience.
I would definitely like those instructions for the cruise control! Since you are running a business, you may want to edit some of your posts again. There is a lot of emotion there, not painting things in a good light for future business.
Since last night, i have been contacted by another customer of yours from who'm i've never heard before, asking how i think you will handle fixing his alternator bracket. There is a repeating theme of customers being rebuffed, getting the sense that they are not welcome to call you. Instead of lashing with excuses, i suggest recognizing the problem and fixing it. Most of these folks would not be posting their complaints if communication had been more graceful so solutions could be reached.
I'd be happy to receive the info on the cruise. I have no interest in standing up for other unsatisfied customers, which is a position i seem to be acquiring. I'd hate to see autoworldmt.com turn into another fordcummins.com where folks ignore the good and assail upon every bad thing possible. Avoiding this will not happen by furthering the aggitation of customers past and present, responding with vituperations. It is up to you.

I will take care of the cruise control info for you right away - i'm sorry to get so mad Matt but we work SO HARD and put out SO many orders and try to make every effort to do the right thing, the 400 other people who got our stuff this year & are completely happy aren't here to stand up for us so it doesn't matter what i say - we have been damaged beyond repair, it seems like a deliberate attack to ruin us which include some totally untrue statements and just plain mean & childish comments from those that used me for information, which is FINE, we don't mind helping people but i sure didn't expect to be attacked for it later

AND WORSE THAN THAT - being attacked for taking a few days off per year when we work 70 hrs per week, which are mostly SATURDAY AND SUNDAY to go race, we drive all nite to get home and GO TO WORK on Monday with little or no sleep unless its too far and we have to fly - ken is a FUNNY CAR DRIVER boys, the car owner, sponsors, truck drivers & the rest of the team DEPEND on him - its not like anyone else can just jump in the car and drive it - this is the pro NHRA and IHRA alcohol ranks, its on espn and speed channel!!!! if any of you were driving for lets say "hendrick motor sports" - how many would say "oh, sorry - i cant drive this weekend???" i bet you ALL watch TV at nite, go out on the weekends, motorcycle riding, boating, snowmobiling, camping, skiing or whatever you are into - WE DONT - we work, so i find it completely appalling that this forum is being used as the national enquirer. IF ANY OF YOU WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE IN THIS POSITION (SEE PHOTOS), WHERE WOULD YOU BE... case closed.
i wish you would have called us and send that bracket back to ken, he would have gladly fixed it for you, it apparently wasn't that easy if it took 3 other shops to get it right and they had it in their posession - you shoulda sent us the alternator in the first place, even tho it was supposed to have the same bolt pattern, it is aftermarket - something is different, it only takes an 1/8" to cause problems.
how much do we owe you?
there are other circumstances involved in this other matter - the first thing that happened is a stock cummins pully/tensioner broke, causing the belt to torque on everything else, we think pulling the AC pump out of alignment, which caused everything to come out of square - we put 400 miles on it before it left and everything was perfect, tracking strait, aligned.
we had our other customer with the same truck (same alternator, same bracket, 05 motor now with 35,000 miles on it) come in with his from out of town and Ken is making another alternator bracket as we speak - its 8:00 at nite. we don't know if its going to help & it may be another temporary fix because these plates are waterjet cut and should be exactly the same. this particular stock part is on national back order and has a superceded part number which says to me, there is a problem, it starts out with a sqeek and then the bearing fails - 03 common rail motor. this truck is back east in missouri right now so we can only hope that there is someone out there that is competent enuf to align them properly for him and by the way, it was his truck that we were swamped finishing up, we spent way more hours in the extras he wanted done and frankly, we lost $ - HE had to come first.
