A 215 pump is a good mod, for sure. But if your goal is 300 or 400 horse, it's a lot cheaper to mod a 160 pump already in the truck than it is to spend the coin it takes to get a 215, and then still end up fooling with the plate, putting in a GSK, DV's, bumping the timing, and so forth. It just depends on the intended use of the truck. Could be the 215 pump is the way to go.
I did 356hp with a 160hp pump and a stock turbo. Just did a 0 plate, 022 dvs,4kgsk, timing at 17* and 370 injectors. Other than that it was stock. Ofcourse I like my 215 pump a lot more but the 160 pump is capable of decent hp.
