what i did before i even got any of these codes, was to take the boost sensor out of the stock turbo and leave it plugged in, and just tie it up out of the way. i have never seen a over or low boost code.

I think the Smarty handles overboost conditions caused by excessive fueling (outside factory parameters), but this sounds like an underboost condition due to large turbo that is not making boost when stock turbo would. In older trucks we just call it turbo lag, a condition that could produce smoke. The 06+ trucks consider it an emissions problem, a condition that could produce smoke.Doesn't the smarty's aftermarket turbo (and no boost limit) take care of these problems?

Robert, I believe the low boost code only occurs in 06 and 07 trucks. I usually get the code when travelling at low speeds like when in traffic or in a parking lot. A situation where there are RPMs but no load seems to trigger it.
Edit: I noticed where Kruger is also getting overboost codes. Do you have the smarty software for aftermarket turbo installed?
I got this code yesterday. Thank goodness I had a Smarty to clear it.
Is there any update on this problem and a possible solution. I would think that it is something that the Smarty programming could eliminate? I am considering getting rid of the Smarty for another programmer that will not be tripping my truck "CONSTANTLY", pulling over and resetting all the time is very old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
