What is everyone else seeing who is running the SMARTY and oil sampling. I had a high amount of Soot in the oil at 15,000 miles. i run my SMARTy on #9 and drive pretty hard. I have a oil bypass system. Just wondering what everyone else is seeing. I know that will cause high soot levels and my driving habits have alot to do with that.

Huh, imagine that:-laf Kidding aside, rail motors are sooty anyway. But I imagine the Smarty on level 9 is causing the soot.

I haven't used one on this truck yet but I ran Smarty for a a while (25,000 miles) on the '05. Soot levels nearly trippled consistently with Smarty versus all stock. I had a FS-2500 on it also. The thing about your analysis also is that it is giving you soot content but it is not telling you the size of the content such as <or> 2 microns. Other than the soot content my analysis was always good.
