i hooked up a switched hot wire to my ksb. can activate it when ever i want. scott says it will not give additional timing across the board but it seems to me that it does. so here is a timing adv device, built into our motors (from the factory), just sitting there waiting to be utilized. can you guys think of any reason to give timing intermittently????
or for that matter to take timing at a certain point in a run????? get my point? if it gives timing, you could always use it the opposite way - deactivate it to take timing
i have heard of the chips adv the timing at high rpms - i dont understand this - i am used to taking timing at high rpm's (race gas, alky, nitro). is diesel that weird?
all i have really used it for so far is to bump my idle speed when the engine is hot and i have the a/c on - works great for that
