You got me thinking, so I did mine tonight (82K on the clock). They all needed adjusting down as they were opened up. The . 010 gauge had no resistance at all on any of the intakes. All needed a good snugging. Same with the exhaust. Glad I didn't wait. Number 6 cylinder is a bear.
My tip is if you have one of those cooling fan wrenches and turn the engine clockwise (from the front), she turns pretty easy. Mine wouldn't turn CCW (looking from the front) so when I went past my mark, I had to put a socket on one of the damper bolts to back it up. Otherwise, it was much easier than my 01 to get the valve cover off.
