Most pump remanufacturers have several grades of pumps that they supply.

this is a new one to me ... could you elaborate

my vp has 160k so i better start learnin' ...

my line of thinking has always been along the lines of "fix it faster"

as long as i have to be in there i might as well get the maximum for my effort ...

max durabilitly USUALLY outways max horsepower ...

so do the improvements to a hrvp affect reliability/durability or is it just a timing/horsepower thing?

The pump does not lope like I was wanting it to. . but you can hear it. . Took it to a car show last weekend at our local A&W... it really turned some heads when we came thru the parking lot. In first gear... with no throttle... it will start to lope like its riding the cam in a gasser.

Sounds like one of those sled pulling trucks... well not that much. . Here is a picture of the truck at the A&W car show. .

If something or some parts of a 'core' meet spec then they are reused in a 'new' reman pump. However, some companies go above and beyond and build a pump that has a new housing with new electronics as well as several longevity upgrades - little more money but spend it once and be done. A couple hundred bucks more for longer service - it's worth it.

GOT-Torque I've been satisfied with my hrvp44.

boydo, are you running bigger lines and tubes too?

No stock ones, but have thought of trying the a set of . 093 lines and tubes. I haven't heard any hard info if the biggar ones are any better.
