Competition Stage 3 CP3... Cheep?

Jeez Gale, calm down before you have a heart attack or something. I had a pretty horrible modification experience with Bank's products AND customer service and the gentlemen here on the TDR saved my truck and my faith in diesel BOMBing. As you know, this is a Cummins forum, and no one asked Mr. Treydte to post his Chevrolet based results on this board. If your'e gonna offer it up on this board, we reserve the right to tear it down if we want. That's part of what makes this board so great. That being said your D-Max is quite impressive, NOS or not.

Iv'e said before and I'll say it again,

Old Ironsides awaits the smokeless 6. 7L Bankspower Cummins Type P.

Banks experience.

My only Banks experience was a positive one. I arrived in Azusa for installation of a Stinger plus system. Their facility was loaded with Powerstrokes primarily and lonesome me w/my recently purchased '99. The techs literally pleaded to work on the Cummins for the relative simplicity of an inline six. They promptly went to work and had the truck for about an hour before informing me that I had a "weak lift pump" which they claimed Cummins and Dodge knew about but weren't providing a permanent fix. They politely declined to install their system and sent me on my way with instructions to provide their written documentation to Dodge. They warned me that Dodge would refuse to admit something was not Kosher with the fuel system. After taking two days to secure the testing equipment, the dealer called me up and said nothing was wrong. This was nearly verbatim to what Banks said they would state. Anyway,a new engine(53) and lift pump@ 17,500 miles later,I decided to go with DD injectors and an Edge EZ for my power upgrade. Banks was very good to me that day and predicted Cummin's/Dodge's fuel system shortcoming to the letter.

Soooooo..... you decided to repay them for your positive experience by spending your money elsewhere?:confused:

I can hear Gale now: "Thanks for nuthin'... "#@$%! :D

Thanks to Banks.

Yeah, with a subscription to this site I learned there were alternative ways to easily make power gains with the 24 valves at a substantially lower price. Thanks Gale anyway for the honest appraisal of the lift pump problem.

The One thing that escapes Peoples Notice, Is Gale Banks Cares were this industry is headed, has been doing it for decades. I don't see how deep your resources are and how big your capitals gains is , it will not Purchase the integrity that Gale Banks has and the loyalty to this industry.

Nothing wrong with Constructive Criticism, in fact we (T&C) encourage it. This is the platform all will benefit. .

Now let's Make My Cummins that fast.

So how far removed from the original Dmax is the motor? Are there any factory parts on it? Heads? Engine block? Crank?

In the end it's what fit's and weight.

Than just add $$
