Dude! Lol we have the same lites. I gotta say I like WarPig's lights a touch better as they use the OEM style adjusters. Our style is a roal kick in the fanny area. They look cool but the novelty has worn off for me as I am a touch p. o'd on the adjustability.

Folks, this may sound like a dumb question but what is the difference between the HALO's and HID compared to OEM. Other than looking cool, I am lost. Are they brighter and clearer?

Thanks

Bowz

Halos are a different approach to parking lights. Bright enough to let someone know you are parked but not blinding you. They do not produce light for seeing in the dark. HID (High Intensity Discharge) lighting is far brighter light at a lower Wattage ... . higher voltage. The range of Hid can reach upwards of 12K (Kelvin) rating For example, sunlight at noon, with a Kelvin rating of 5500° K, is typically referred to as full spectrum because it contains a blend of all colors throughout the spectrum. Bulbs with a lower K rating (and lower color temperature) emit a warmer, reddish light, while bulbs with a higher K rating (and higher color temperature) give off a cooler, crisper blue light.

Has any one used these kits with a Brite Box? I like the HID idea but not the puny High beam. Together these might be just what I want for the rural roads full of wildlife I seem to travel.

BTW Theese are NOT HID they are PROJECTION headlamps, Simply a convex lens that allows for the use of a smaller bulb. They have a very define cut off point in the field of vision and do a great job for their compact size.

There are websites like Roadmax Metal White Xenon Halogen Headlight Bulbs that offer the harness I mentioned above. It is a taiwan unit so there are flaws. The low beam and ground need to be swapped but that is all. 34. 00 as opposed to 130+ from suvlights.

How do you know if they will use the factory adjusters or not when you are buying them??? I see so many different lights out there but I don't know what the pros and cons are of 1 piece, 2 piece, factory adjustments, etc...

I need new ones bad. It's dark now when I leave work and my factory headlights are this color >>>>>> :-laf

Thanks,

Jason

I know for a FACT mine DO NOT #@$%! In fact if you do not have any patience don't get the style I have. The ones Warpig has do use the same style oem adjusters.

On my style each light has a set of three angle adjuster screws. 12 screws and you need to do some slight body mods to get to them.

Cool thanks. I guess you need to know what to look at... I've never adjusted mine so I don't know what to look for.

What about 1 piece versus 2 piece?

No, the lights will plug into the stock harness. If I was you I would use an upgraded harness with the relays, they are available from the link I posted above. However, they are not listed on the website. Ask them for the upgraded harness, they have them cheap. The upgraded harness with relays takes the load off the stock switch. Also, these lights are made in taiwan and they installed the wires backwards. All you have to do is switch the wires around until the black (ground) wires match up between your stock harness and the upgraded one. Toolman posted the Matrix part number for the harness above.

Took a while to find this thread - figured I'd revive it for folks that may not have seen it . . . and to make it easier for me to find next time.

Toolman I'm assuming one adjustment issue you have is they need adjusted up (light cuts off too low)? Oilburner on Idaho Bombers took some piece out of his and shave about 1/8" off of it to let the light project up higher. Says no one has flashed him yet and it helped significantly.
