I see that most of you guys are playing with an aftermarket turbo but for you stockers like I am have you noticed that the wastegate has been turned up to 36 pounds. I no longer need the boost fooler to make 36 pounds. On all the previous "standard" software that I used the wastegate would open at 32 and cut me back to 28lbs at full throttle. This software will peg 36lbs and hold it. Also, with my trailer (gross 18K) I have about a 100 degree drop in maximum EGT on level five at full throttle. So far so good. Going to be hard to keep the right foot off the floor long enough to check for a fuel mileage increase.



Now that's what I want.

Does anybody know if these 4. x type updates actually increase rail pressure? I thought these were the type of software that would be used on the Smarty Jr, and I just saw on another site that Marco said the Jr softwares did not raise rail pressure. So what's the story with the (hopefully) soon to be released Beta programming?

It sounds like it raises pressure across the board from JStieger's report. This was why I have been avoiding the Smarty. I don't feel comfortable raising rail pressure. It seems like you can do it some (VA3. 1) and it will be OK but how far is it safe?

You guys are going to like this update. My Smarty had been condemned to life in the bedroom due to smoke issues mainly. Marco has greatly diminished the smoke and as long as you drive the truck properly and don't bog it, you've got a clean running truck with greatly enhanced driveability. No CEL's or codes present. Much improved product. Thanks goes to Marco and Bob. Smarty Jr. should fit the bill for most guys who don't have a fortune to upgrade their drivetrains. :):):)
