Cold and alot of chattering here

it's been <10 degrees here in the mornings. Even with the block heater the motor chatters rather loud. . sounds cool. but it's not the normal sound I"m used to.

Bob,

I know you are busy but I am dying for the new Beta. Send if you can as soon as is possible. :)

Is the Samrty Jr. the same as the regular Smarty but with limited power options? Does it do the same thing as the regular Smarty on the same power levels? I'd love a Smarty but I don't need/want the higher levels.

I believe Levels 1-5, same software as smarty sr... . 100hp on level 5

Hey Bob,

Neil here AGAIN!! Hopefully you were asking me for a new request. Got beta for me??

Just wondering if bob or marco could possibly put up something of a change-log on the smarty website? It'd be nice to know some details of what is actually changing from update to update rather than just oh heres a new beta... It makes beta testing and general feedback more difficult when you dont know what is changing in each release.

-Dan (nov9 software... nice to use the whole throttle again not just 1/4 of it)

I wish a little more information would be provided in this area. New software gets posted to the web site with no indication of what took place except for “updates” on the News tab. It is not clear if it included the newest Chrysler updates, etc. For example I have read countless posts until I learned that the beta code doesn’t add pressure. The point is I would like to make an educated decision as to what software version and settings to run. I understand that the code for aftermarket injectors don’t have quite as much timing as the standard software, but what about the software for aftermarket turbos? Someone may know but it’s not publicly available. What is different about it? I would like to add that I think Smarty has an awesome product and I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase.

X2 on everything said.

I would like to know for sure when there is and is not pressure? I may start running an ez.

I also would like to know what changes when the updates come out, if it's just chrysler updates then tell us. For me my truck doesn't go to the dealer, so do I even need these?

What I would also like to know is how do I get 40psi out of my turbo with the published SW's, not the Beta? If it wasn't for the rattle the Beta is perfect Marco.

Oh yeah, I loaded up Level 9 of the November SW and all I can say is Wow. I have never run anything above 5 and 7.

all i can say is WOW for not adding a lick of pressure this thing is awesome. I LIKE I LIKE!!!!

now for my thoughts on the performance, this program has wonderful driving manners, it is a very good mid range program. fits my aggressive driving style very well. i can't wait for the race program to get some really strong low end and a much more stout top end pull.

this program is going to be perfect for the average who wants a great running truck with very low EGT's.

as for the rattle some are hearing, i have not heard anything out of the ordinary on my truck. it kinda sounds like the first smarty i ever bought. it really gives you the feeling of driving a diesel again.

so Bob and Marco keep up the good work!

As it gets colder. motor's getting rather chattery. . possibly cuz of the cold. but it was never this bad last year.

it's be mid single digits in my area in the AM's.

Has anyone noticed that 3rd and 4th gear don't lock as soon with the new Beta?? I am guessing that some of the smoothness on these shifts is the result of shifting open vs locked.
