Rough idle sometimes, smokes white on startup, seems "loose", if that makes any sense, just not as tight as it used to be all of time. Maybe some other little quirks that I can't remember right now. That and the poor mpg, but no surprise there right? They were designed to get 14-15mpg I'm sure.

I'm glad I got the truck I do. I routinely get 20+MPG on the freeway empty. Then again, I rarely go over 2000 RPM on the highway but I do blast up to 85-90 occasionally to get around a vehicle that's going slower than me or to play. My mileage does drop in the winter a bit. I'm getting about 18. 5mpg now with the winter fuel.

Had a lift pump at 50K go out on the freeway in Corona close to home... easy fix with the new style in the tank pump.

Had a CP3 injector pump go out at 125K in 200 miles north of La Paz, Baja California during prerunning for the 2006 Baja 1000 and got towed back to La Paz behind a FORD towing a 35-foot flatbed with a buggy and a Trophy Truck on it... at 4 AM without power steering/brakesOo. that was fun!

Had a high-pressure fuel injector line burst and fail at the finish line of this year's Baja 1000 and that's a whole nuther story. Flew home and got parts, got towed out of the stranded desert by another 92 Cummins and flew back wtih the correct parts ($25 dollars) and drove home.

185K miles from Wisconsin to Texas to Vegas and back so many times and 6-times to Cabo and back the past two months for the Baja 1000 and a three issues overall... two of the three I should have caught myself... the injector pump... well that's life.

where do I begin. production date 26Jan04 the in service date to my business was 28Feb04. The first trip back to dealer was 14Jul04 stumble at 1400 to2500 rpm TSB 18-007-04 installed next 22Dec04 ampgauge high reading white smoke and window op. installed TSB 18-004-04 to warm quicker and replace temperature sensor (battery) After this I have had a P0602 code ever since. after many many visits to two dealerships I was asked not to return with this same problem 0602 could not or would not be repaired under warranty. due to aftermarket parts on the truck. Because they didn't want to replace the ECM. YES I am my own warranty station. I've never replaced the ECM but, just normal services preformed on a 5000 mile intervals. Its always had a rough idel but its just normal now I'm at 120,000 plus miles & it starts up every time.

Mine ran a little doggish until I found the bare AC wire... seemed to lack some power and was a little rough.

I'm currently trying to look for the cause of a little intermittent bucking start... but I may have figured that one out, as I watched my GPS drop to below 10. 5Vs during a start this AM...

Mine's been fine otherwise. I thought it had gotten noisier with miles, but after riding in a 2006 with under 15k, I found that mine is just about normal.

Mine has definently gotten louder/noisier. It actually sounds like a diesel. No knocking or bad sounds, just more of what we all like. Not sure why. Sounds completely different (and better) than dad's '03.

No problems or issues with 65k miles. Fuel mileage is a direct correlation to the right foot. I can get as low as 15 or as high as 22 (hand calc).

No problems

Other than its like the bunny it keeps on running and running and running cant tell the wife it needs something even she can tell its just fine:)

yowsa, 175,000 miles on mine and she's just rockin' it...

today I took my baby to see the Doctor, Bob Sherman, aka Bob4X4, for a checkup before I depart for back woods of Wisconsin, she came out tuned up with a couple slight tweaks ready to go,

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

My has needed constance repairs starting at 40k.

1 rear ujoint.

2 left rear wheel seal.

3 front pinion seal.

4 posi unit shot.

5 right rear wheel seal.

6 front pinion seal again.

7 left rear caliper froze.

8 sucked air filter in haft.

9 posi is going bad again.

Thats all I can remember my log book is in the truck. The truck now has 80k on it. After almost every run something has to be done. The truck is used for hauling. I sell tractors and trailers I usually go to TX buy a gooseneck load it with tractors or trailers. some loads get heavy and back to the UP of MI. But I like my truck. Best mpg was 21 on only two tanks it averages 16mpg, 7. 5 worst. I run a smarty jr on 1 just to keep the exhaust temp down. On 2 the clutch isnt going to hang on.
