I have a Magnaflow muffler and the truck sounds awesome. It has a nice deep tone at idle and isn't too loud over the road, really comes alive when towing on the interstate and hills.
My "down" pipe is 3" dia and it is dark brown in color. Right before the Magnaflow, I have about 2' of 4" dia pipe that was welded in.
I want to open up the exhaust at the turbo because of the dark brown pipe. Is this dark brown normal?
I'm ready to get the MBRP 4" stainless system (#S6104409) and want to know if you think this will help. Will I even notice a difference compared to my stock exhaust with the Magnaflow muffler and 4" tailpipe?
Goals are lower EGTs, more power and same or better sound.
Has anyone installed the MBRP themselves? I should be able to do it, right?
The local performance muffler shop works with Flo Pro, but I'm skeptical about this brands quality (fit an finish) compared to MBRP.
Thanks for your help and advise.
