As a PacBrake distributor I understand your feelings... . All suppliers fail in one way or another... after all we are just people... however PacBrake has a great track record and will take care of you... If you have any more problems, please feel free to email me directly and I'll try and help... even though we didn't sell you the product...

Are you aware that all their manuals, parts list and installation instructions are on their web sight... Home - PacBrake - Exhaust and Engine Brakes for Automotive, Motorhome, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty Vehicles

I'd post our 800# but every time I do that the post gets pulled...

Thanks for the concearn . I am going to lowes and get some longer bolts to do part of the install then hold off till the other parts come I just needed the truck in the morning oooooooooo well thanks again

I have Pac Brake e-brake as well as air bags. I love both, I wouldn't know what I'd do without either one. All parts came with, easy instalation, just a little time and some common sence. I purchased mine from jelag, great people to deal with.

I just installed a Pacbrake PRXB last weekend and have to say it was a very easy install and great instructions.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Everyone does make a mistake at some point, too bad it happened to you when you needed your truck.

All has been resolved thank you for your concearn the bolts were to shortfor the end plates once you add the extra 1/4 in to the bottom plate. T J knows about this and is sending me some bolts and air fittings. if they run as good as they look I will be a happy roper . it will get the big horse trailer test

This past January, I had the opportunity to see cut-aways of PacBrake Air Bags & two of their competitors models. It looked, to me, like PacBrake studied the competition & made the "weak links" heavier-duty.

The end caps of the bags, on the competition were made of bare steel & plastic. PacBrake built very thick aluminum endcaps. No rust & stronger than plastic.

Also, the construction of the steel re-enforcements embedded in the bags, themselves, were built stronger. Probably to the point of overkill.

This is not to say that the other bags would not give you a long & useful life but, the PacBrake's product "looked" to be better engineered, in my opinion.

EDavid, sorry to here you had trouble with you product. I have had great luck with Pacbrake and I am glad to see they have taken care of you.

I have had the airbags on for about 6 months and I am very pleased with the parts.

Do the bags hold a load up better with the same or less air? What are the advantages? I've had my AirLift bags for almost the whole life of my truck and I run them past capacity and 90-100psi and I am yet to blow one out.

I had the riderite bags on my 04 and they worked fine. I also saw a cutaway view of the different bags and liked the Pac Brake bags better. They were easy to install and are rugged. The only problem I had were the push in fittings for the air lines. It was probably me, but I bought the fittings with a ferrel, I know they don't leak. My only problem now is trying to find out where to hook up the wire from the light in the pressure gauge. I want it to dim like the other instrument lights. Anybody got any ideas?

Tim

Edavid, on behalf of the Pacbrake team we apologize for the missing parts you received in your kit. Unfortunately once in a blue moon mistakes do occur, we work diligently to resolve any and all issues that may arise. I have been assured your missing valves have been sent UPS red today. I must note that the Tech has stated that you made no mention of missing bolts; if you will please clarify which bolts you might be missing I will ensure they are included in the shipment.

We have spoken with the tech about his attempt of being a comedian, and again apologise for his comments and lack of judgement. With respect to you purchasing parts from Lowes please PM me so we can make arrangement to reimburse you for you’re out of pocket expenses.

Harold

wow... . that is customer service! ;)

I am looking into airbags and seriously considering PacBrake. After seeing this I think I just made up my mind.

One question though: Will they fit with the MBRP Dual Exhaust system?

Do a search for gauge installation. You want the same wire. It is behind the dimmer switch. You can use a 12V probe light to figure out which wire it is.

NJT, thanks for finding that skimatic, but I'm not smart enough to find a dimmer wire behind the instrument panel from looking at it. I've been using a flashlight if I want to see what the gauge says at night, a pain in the ***** but at least I can see it.

It appears to be the orange with brown stripe. My concern is how many amps is that circuit rated for??? My guess is this signal is only to tell the computer to turn the dimmer lights on thru a relay. Don't think you can connect anything substantial to that circuit. But then again, I’m only guessing as I haven’t connected anything to mine … yet!

I don't know what it's rated for, but I've had 10 gauges and a navigation unit connected to it for a year now with no problems...

I'm with Cattletrkr, I have several hooked to mine with no proble. (Knock on wood)

NJT, it is the orange wire with brown stripe. I believe it is pin #4.
