I have ad the box for about two weeks now, and am happy to report that I have seen a 2mpg increase. For $180 a great investment for those looking to enhance mileage.

I don't know on 3rd Gens, but on my '99 it is a timing only adjustment. A boost in mileage and a little extra pep for $180 make this a great little investment.

I have the XZT+ which is basiscally the same box with the addition of a power setting.

I did see an little increase in mileage and Quadzilla says there's another 25 hp in there. My PU is loaded down for winter so it's hard to feel 25hp in 9K lbs of truck.

I was going to buy that, but I opted for the Diablo PowerPuck. It is the same thing, the salesman told me that his boss/owner who owns a Ram got better results with the Puck. I am really happy so far, my 2006 Dually auto 4x4 3:73 rear with 24,000 miles was always getting 12. 5 ... ... ... mt first tank now I am getting 15. 5

It is east to connect, trust me. I want to burn 5 full tanks to see my new average mpg. It remaps the fuel delivery. . whatever that means, and it corrects the screwed up timing that is factory retarded to make Al Gore happy. I know I'm a dope next to Gore, but, don't you pollute just as much as before? What I mean is, my trucks exhaust is cleaner, but I am burning more fuel because the mpg went down because of the emissions bs. So in effect I am polluting just as much in the end. Think of a black crayon. Draw 1 line and it is a black line. Use a gray crayon and draw a line a few times (burning more fuel) and you will again have a black line. Man did I get off the subject! Power Puck! I am sure the unit mentioned above works well to.

Zilla, question. Since the box doesn't add fuel, is it timing only? Back in the old days, some guys like me (HO six speed) bought the Diesel Dynamics version of the Edge EZ because of less total timing advance on the DD box versus the Edge box. How does the Mileage Max compare in total advance to DD EZ and the Edge EZ boxes.

Duration will retard timing: only pressure and early firing of injector can have a positive affect on mileage.

Was looking my truck over getting ready and am having trouble finding the data plug, it's suppose to be near the power steering pump on 99s but I haven't found it yet... ...

crash&burn, it should be near the powersteering pump somewhere and it should be triangle shaped.

CB,if you can't find it by the ps pump, look down by the bottom of the fuel filter housing/top of the lift pump area. The instructions for my DD module says some of the late 99/early 2000's have the data plug there.
