My buddy just called and told me to ask you 6. 7 guys if you realize you have a Jap engine under your hood. This may be old news to you but the 6. 7 is a joint venture between Iveco and Cummins. You like?

Not true. First, IVECO is an Italian company not a Jap. Secondly, IVECO has used the Cummins engines for their platform of smaller trucks for the past several years ( So does DAF ). In fact the first Cummins Common Rail 5. 9L was found in the IVECO and DAF trucks a couple years before they came out in the Dodge.

Yep, this proves it!! Racists are as stupid as they look. they will say anything to spew their crap. Try and find some self esteem its lack is showing!!

A friend of my cousin told his buddy who told my uncle who told me that Ford owns Cummins

I think I know that guy. He has no teeth, his knuckles drag the ground, he's married to his first cousin, has both of his old refrigerators on the front porch, and got a really good deal on a lemon law buyback 6. 0 Ford.

COME ON! Get yourself some information before you waste a thread on something like this.

And no, I don't like.

Further to Marco's observation, I happened upon some promotional material by FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) in the Diesel Progress magazine which lists 5. 9 & 6. 7 L engines that are marketed by them, perhaps with some non-cummins exterior items.

The material also says that Fiat invented the common rail injection system with solenoid actuated injectors and turned it over to Robert Bosch for commercialization and manufacture.

Can anyone offer tech info comparing solenoid and piezo-electric activated injectors?
