you'll need to "slack" off parking brake "shoes" just like the old drums, and also may have some of those annoying clips/washers on the wheel studs that have to be removed (I didn't put them back on after I did mine)

Well I've done mine twice now (damn sticking calipers). I recommend putting in new slides and lubing them well while you have it off.
I get my mini sledge and a pry bar. I pound on the back of the rotor, turn and pound and turn and pound, until it works it's way off enough to rock it with my hands and work it loose. Then I slack off the adjusters a bit after the rotor is off.
