<Sigh>

No drain.

It is a screen filter, though, so I won't kill my FASS motor. I'll order an FS 1023 tomorrow...

... I'm tired.

You should be fine with water as long as you run a lot of additive like Howe's or PS... I have only ever found a couple beads of water running Howe's in every tank...

If you have it on for a while, I would simply pull it off, shake it out, and reinstall it...

I did all this searching, then ended up sticking with the HF6604 anyway...

Just for the record, the HF6604 is rated at:

99. 5% @ 5 micron

98. 6% @ 3 micron

95% @ 1 micron

This was directly from Cummins Filtration about 3 months ago. RobertP of NGM Diesel Performance first found this out. I confirmed it because I had old information stating the HF6604 was only good to 3 micron... which was based on pre-1995 data.

I have a couple of questions and I would like to see this thread stay a little more current during a search so I'm bringing it back. What has changed since the last post?

I have a good source for the Baldwin BT37210 filter and was wondering who uses them. Interesting..... all data I can find says they are a 5 micron filters but I have an old DPP filter cross reference page saved that shows it being a 20 micron filter. Their current page doesn't even list it. How about people using the Napa FIL 1202. Comments? Easy source, ok price, says 5 mcron.

My FASS is a 95 GPH unit. Geno's sells the HF6604 filter (for $60) but says it won't work on the 95 model. Why? Too much restriction? My unit came with the HF6607 (6 microns). It's on a 2001.

Guess I'll search other threads now.

Thanks Diesel-Dan.

I was mistaken. I don't know why I had it in my head I had a 95. I checked my invoice to refresh my memmory as to when I bought it -- july 2004. Then used a mirror to check the unit itself. It says model No. ---FASS 150. Serial No. ---1857. That's all that's on it but it is a 150. So I can use the HF6604 filter. It did come with the HF6607 and WS1001.

Still, who likes the Baldwin, Wix(Napa) etc. or are most using FG.

Diesel-Dan, do you have a recommended Baldwin filter? Or do you feel they aren't any good.

The Baldwin BT8509-MPG has the best filtration of the crossed BALDWIN filters I researched...

The Fleetguard HF6604 is still the absolute best filter...
