ats co-pilot. good or bad?

Find one?

well we will find out this week if the JR can be dectected. My 06 is in the shop for a bad injector and they are waiting for a chrysler rep to come down and inspect it becauseI have a quad commander installed and they are insiting that that can control the rail pressure and that it is the cause for the injectoer to fail in alittle over 30k on this set. they replaced all 6 at 50k because 3 were bad and up till that point the only things that had been done to the truck was a boost fooler and the air box mod. And before everyone slams me for trying to get this fixed by the dealer there are a few reasons, first this dealer has lied to me and tried screwing me over before with this truck and my 99 I had, also I want to see what they find as evidence for killing my warrenty, both the smarty and the mp-8 claim to leave no foot print so we will see. if they decide to say no I'm fine with it , I just want a exact description of why not some half cocked excuse blaming my guages when they can't do what they are claiming they do.

I know the smarty didn't do anything witht he pressure, and from what I have seen by reading my guages when i first installed the mp-8 I can' see how there will be any info stored of abnormal rail pressures and such. I had the pick up points for my commander on the ecm side of the mp-8 and i was still getting stock numbers on everything but when I redid the pickup points to just off the sensors it showed the diffrent numbers that the mp-8 will create. but as I said they are claiming that the commander itself jacked up rail pressure and that when I brought it in I had it turned up to the max but they are looking at the fuel supply pressure adjustment to fine tune the reading of the sending unit. I offered to show them how it works and have them hook up thier computer while i run through adjustments on it to show it doesn't affect the truck at all, but they ssaid they would have to wait for the rep to show up.

Well I will have an answer tomorrow. the Chrysler rep came and went and now they are waiting for a cummins rep to look at it tomorrow. My guess is that the chysler rep didn't have a clue just lile thier techs. I asked if it was a electrical or mechanical failure and they said they weren't sure and that why they were bring in cummins.

Ok they decided not to fix the truck but the dealer wont give me any reasons or details. I have to call Chrysler tomorrow and bug the crap out of them to get answers. Now i just need to decide what to do about the bad injector. I'm a little mad about the situation but you have to pay to play but both power adders claim to be un detectable so I want to find out what cummins found so we here at TDR can know. I'm guessing if that if they found anything it would be a rail pressure thing witch isn't an issue with the Jr. but it may just be that they realy couldn't find anything but decided to say to bad anyways.

Why don't you email me a copy of the bigger news for me to try out. I can send a VIN number along as well :) Looking to remove the use of a specific stacked box in favor of 100% software

You question the validity of the products claim and now you ask for free upgrades,go figure:confused::confused::rolleyes::rolleyes:... ... . Andy

I thought that cummins could read in the ECM the rate at which RPM rises VS gear, load, and some other variables???? That would make it really easy to know if power is up from stock.

that's assuming your tires are on the ground, not ice or you don't have the transfer case in neutral.

thats why I said RPM VS LOAD, GEAR, AND OTHER VARIABLES!

Besides, what percentage of the life of the vehicle will be spinning on ice or wide open down a hill? And Jason, I dont drive my truck on jackstands with the wheels in the air or leave the Tcase in N in the driveway and rev it up like you do apparently! And yes, they can see what percentage or how long a vehicle has been at what percentage of throttle position, RPM, TEMP, and countless other readings!

I bet that any good tech could figure it out in minutes if even the smarty has been ran in a vehicle for any decent amount of time.

Dads truck failed to start today, no crank, no nothing, like the start part of the ignition wasn't there... . anyways its at the local dealership. He reprogrammed back to stock, but it hasn't run at all since the flash... . I am not even concerned, and this will be good proof of why not to worry.

Well in my case I am stil fighting with them to even give me the details of what they saw, They say there is a miss match in mileage but the techs I have talked to have said that doesn't make any sense to them. I just replaced the injector myself, I took maybe an hour and I got a new one for under 250. and From what I can tell the injector went bad mechanically. and that makes me think its either them putting one that was rebuilt in or something with dirty fuel.
