Bob, does this mean the Smarty will have a "shift on the fly" option soon?
Rumor has it.
I found that a little pressure along with the Smarty reduced smoke a little on my '03, provided that I didn't have everything cranked up.
I ran a TST, Smarty, MP-8 stack. By far, the most fun-to-drive stack was Smarty and MP-8. It pulled like a 5. 0 Mustang, and none of the peakiness and turbo-bark I would get with the TST. It was smoky, but I had one of the early, early tunes.
I've been Smarty-less for a year, but I'm back on it tomorrow when I pick up my truck with new tc/vb/is/fp![]()
I wonder what's wrong with your truck? It only pulled like a 5. 0 Mustang?:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf
:-laf The MP-8 really woke the truck up, but the Smarty was the real secret. Of all the power-adders I tried, the Smarty was the best.
In comparison to the TST, I think the Smarty is waaaaay smoother. The TST tended to have a wicked hit, where the Smarty came on strong from idle. The TST may have made more peak power, but the Smarty made useable power.

Is your TST/EZ off? What software choices are you choosing?
Try a stock injector timing 2 or default? I think /aftermarket turbo, (sounds like you have the Revo), pressure 2, , torque management wild, sw#9. Leave the TST/EZ off.
If that does not work, and the TST still kicks butt over the Smarty?????
The SO has nothing to do with it, performance wise TST and Smarty make SO/HO even.
Like JCleary stated, the Smarty is so smooth it is deceiving, where the TST is explosive, it took me awhile before I believed in Smarty(ask Bob), but I definitely do now.

Any ideas on how to lighten up the smoke? even when I drive subtle it pours out a black cloud. I am sure there is alot less power since accelleration is much slower and the S. O. P. meter reads nothing
And yes the TST and EZ are off the truck at the moment
I think I will download the TNT software this weekend and see if that works
Try a lower sw#, like start at 3 and go up from there. Maybe the Smarty is fueling so hard down low that by the time your rpms are raising, your CP3 cannot catch up. Just like the TST, if you ran it on 9/9 you drain the rail too early and make less power than say 5/2.
Or like you said, try a new software version all together.
