Contact Adam at left coast diesel 925-479-0839 he might still have heater grid deletes, its much nicer than gutting you stock one plus you just put it back in when needed.
 
Where are you guys located, what the coldest it gets? I've been thinking about getting rid of mine too. I'm in sunny california, but take trips in the winter to Montana.
 
I got rid of mine and works just fine with out it. Ive got a couple pics of the old WINspeed ones ... ... they have a newer design now i think. I think they have a NOS spray bar inside one as well. This one we had to hack a little bit to clear the bigger lines.



The newer ones are very nice looking.

Well you can take out the wires all together, or remove the leads from the grid and cover/secure them in place.



I removed the wires all together and boxed them up with the grid. Mine is a diff set up than yours but it all came out easy. I removed the solinoids from the battery box and left the leads to them in place. everything else is removed.
