Ran sw8

torque max

timing stock

duration 3

DragComp 3x3

Almost no smoke, even luggin it... amazing. She rolls through the gears nice, and hits 3000 rpm fast! The turbo spools quick and right up to 45psi egts are good.

Still playing, keep everyone posted.

Hey guys,

I've been running mine on SW#5 (any higher I'm afraid I'll smoke my stock transmission) with torque on 3, timing on 3 and duration on 2. Seemed to work pretty well. :cool:

I did have duration on 3 and it seemed that when she shifted into overdrive, she'd studder a tad bit. I dunno if that's transmission issues or Smarty, as it quit after I set duration to 2.

Another thing: It seems as if my transmission has a "shift kit" in it now - crisper, better shifts. Anyone know if Smarty increases the fluid pressure in our transmissions, making them handle the power better?

So far, this is the best tuner I've ever played with. I have a Banks box on my 04. 5 Dodge and it aint near as much fun! Oo.

Darkhorse Tst comp is fuel only no timing, but it fuels hard lots of it.

Your setup seems similar to mine (cam,stixs,fueling box) but it sure is acting different on SW#9. :confused: What happens on #9 when you turn the TST down or off?

I'm running an Edge DragComp which does have timing added. So I have to run the Smarty at stock timing, if I have the comp on. I also tried sw9 with timing, torque and duration all up and it was smooth but power was really down. Some how sw8 is the money setting for me. I will play with sw8 for a while and tune in the Comp to accomodate. Cruise control is still surging so i will cut back the torque to see if this is resolved. HAPPY TUNING GUYS! Thanks again Bob & Marco for giving me something to tinker with again... . Its like a kid at Christmas... LOL

It runs good with the timing and sw#9 no TST. But also runs good sw#9 default timing and TST on. Everybodys truck set up is differant.

Cam made the low end stronger, spooled turbo quicker, little less smoke, it will run higher rpms with the TsT Comp. I havent installed springs yet so i don't want to rev it to high yet. Springs and studs next mod. Money is tight right now, so I have to save up. Haven't played with the Revo that much yet. Running default on duration.

has anyone tried sw9, stock timing and every thing else max with the comp on 5x5? or something similar? i'm curious how this will act with the comp.

I'd like to know how the adjustable timing compares to the origional softwares. Is timing#2 the same as the previous SW3-5-7-9 and timing#3 the same as the previous SW1?

Should I tow on timing#3?

Is timing#4 more than the origional SW!?

Sorry for the tons of questions (-:

I'd be afraid of towing with to high of timing. High cylinder pressues may smoke head gasket, or piston.

Smarty S03

Today, this becomes reality!

When you enter the “ECM update“ menu on Smarty you will find a newly added chapter:

“Adjust Options“.

Once entered, this menu allows you to choose among several items and levels of customization.

The items are :

* Speed-limiter

* Torque Management levels

* Injection timing

* Injection duration

The levels are :

Speed-limiter

From 25 to 250 mph in one mile increments

Torque Management

# 0 - Default

# 1 - Stock

# 2 - Mild

# 3

# 4 Moderate

# 5

# 6 - Wild ( aftermarket clutch / AT Transmission recommended )

Injection Timing

# 0 - Default

# 1 - Stock

# 2 - for stock injectors

# 3 - for aftermarket Injectors

# 4 - for fuel economy

Injection duration

# 0 - Default

# 1 - Stock

# 2 - Mild

# 3

# 4

# 5 - Long

The above descriptions are for the REVO standard software.

After two days of playing around I've found the following.

Not including the speed limiter input I've come up with these preliminary numbers in the following order just to be clear... (1st digit)-torque management, (2nd digit)-Timing, (3rd digit)-duration.

Cruising - 433

Wild - 635

Fuel Saver - 141

I'm still experimenting but would like others experiences.

Also, what is everyones thought's on using the speed limiter as a anti-theft feature. Set it to 25 mph or less. Could there be liability issues using it as a valet setting? Just thinking out loud and searching for other uses for this setting.

I'm using the speed limiter as cruise control. I set the speed limit to 65MPH and then use the cruise control to hold the throttle to the floor. I find it is MUCH smoother than curise by itself. The only down side is you can't go over 65MPH even if you want. Call me nutz but it's impossible to get a speeding ticket on the highway:-laf

One other question. Let's say I've got sw#9 loaded and all the 'option settings' on default. After driving a bit I want to change the option settings. Can I just go in and make those changes without reloading sw#9? Or do I have to reload it. It doesn't seem the Smarty communicates with the ECM after adjusting the options and not reloading the sw setting. Thanks for the help.

You have to re-load the software for it to make changes in the ECM.
