My truck has recently popped a few freeze plugs, there has been no sign of the head gasket leaking, does'nt appear to be boost related, but could be the issue, there is about 5000 miles since the rebuild, it seemed that if you went over 3500rpm it would push one of the large plugs out on the rear or the right side of the block, i built a cover plate for the rear of the engine so the rear plug cant come out again, on the right side rear it has bolt holes on the sides of the plug port so i installed bolts with large washers holding it down, i aslo installed a 13lb cap on the rad with new oem cummins thermostat, and now the middle plug is out, i have some haisley race freeze plugs with o-ring and h-bar i will put in the middle hole, leaving one stock freeze plug in, i think i will fill it with straight water and run the engine at 3000 rpm with the rad blocked untill it hits about 210-220 deg, and if that doesnt pop it out i will crank the blow offs up and try to run 70 psi boost at 2500 to 3000 rpm over the summit and see if that will take it out, just running out of ideas
