JJPage,
would the 62/71 be considered htts superstock? I think I saw a superstock 62/71/13 somewhere but I can not remember
KV
I am not sure what HTT names their turbos, but Superstock sounds familiar. (I was an II customer). HTT has a 62/71/14 which is basically the same as II's SPS62, Great manners, and tows well too. I believe you can get it with a 13cm ss housing if you want, a bit quicker spool up, flows slightly less.
I went from a 62/71/14(SPS) to a 62/74/14(Silver), the 74 turbine wheel was wicked with an empty truck, not so hot towing. After making that mistake, I contemplated a 64/65/13, 64/65/14, 64/71/13, 64/71/14..... See where this is going.
It is hard to get a single charger that will spool quick and flow enough to keep egts under control, and tow well. The 62/71/14 will do all of these very well to about 450/475hp, then you need more air, bigger wheel(64), then towing becomes a problem because of lag and surging.
If you are going to go with a 64mm compressor wheel, I would go with HTT's 64/65/13ss, or BD's Super B Special, which I believe is 64/71/14.
You have an auto trans like me, so we have a harder time than a standard trans spooling a big single, If you stick with 50/75hp injectors, your stock CP3 will be happy, and you should be able to spool a 64mm compressor wheel.
Hope this helps more than confuses. Jess
