may be too late but I was just thinking of another color that might go good with your truck is 2006 Honda galaxy gray. here is a pic of my wifes civic in that color

the paint has nice "travel" to it, it goes from a frosted silver to a bronzish color based on the light.

I have even considered two toning my silver truck with that color.

Nice color. Mine looks dark in the pics, but it really isn't much darker.

is the grey lower body in primer? or is it a primer/seler I don't have the energy to look thru 15 pages to see what it is.

If it is, isn't it bad to run bare primer since it is porous and water will get to the steel?

otherwise it looks awesome!

Thanks. The metal was coated with Picklex, then 3 coats of epoxy primer, 2 coats of urethane primer over top.

ok, I would hate to see you hard work destroyed by not painting over regular primer. I'm sure you already knew what I was saying, I just wanted to make sure.

as to the color of the car, it was overcast the day I took that pic. it has a frosted silver color to it in bright sunlight. and in the dark and under streetlights is is very dark and has a bronze tint to it.

I know what you mean. That color is very sweet.

My wife is very cool, can't complain a bit. She is a working mans dream! I come home after work, dinner is on the table. She always brings me drinks & snacks as I work. She does the laundry, cleans & cooks... . I have one job... . Pay the bills. :-laf

Line-x guy called me today. He practically begged me not to do the Line-x right now. He told me that he did a truck last month which had 30 day old paint job & very bad results. I took that as a sign from above to not do it. I am gonna paint the bottom in Gunmetal grey for now, get Line-x in the fall. I'm really disappointed, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Does she have a sister? They don't make girls like that over here that I know of... .....

SO you are gonna spray the rockers to match the bumper and flares then?

Yep. Then I have to wait 60 days before Line-x can be sprayed over the grey paint. I don't care though, I need my truck for May [Pulling season] I owe a local puller a good --- kicking. :-laf
