EMS free spin hubs installed, MPG results.
I finally finished my EMS hub install on my '07. Had a few issues that apparently are relative to the 35 spline kits only. I ended up cutting the supplied stub axel shorter at the unused axial circlip grove. I removed approximately 5/16ths inch off of the stub axel. My application doesn't use any circlips to retain the stub axel in the spindle. The axel rubbed the inside of the Warn hub and when I drove it. The hub selector would turn from free wheel to lock. I also didn't use their supplied Allen head bolts to mount the spindle to the axel housing. I reused the FACTORY four bearing mounting bolts, ran them through the back and bought some 14mmX1. 50 nuts. I blue Loctited them. The allen bolts were a pain.
The guys at EMS were helpful with questions. DON'T do it unless you have access to a press to install the lug bolts.
I cut out my hub caps with a 4 1/8" hole saw and hand fit them with a rotary file on my drill press.
Here are a few pics.
YEAH... They stick out... I don't plan on doing any rock climbing.
