just went on southbend's web site. they say that i have to be very specific on what hp i have when choosing a clutch. my clutch is slipping now so a dyno run is out of the question!

80 hp injectors and ramifier that is hardly used(will probally be used more with a southbend) and SPS 62/80

what clutch do you guys recommend? dont want a clutch that is a bear to depress! thanks

I'll save you all the guess work... ... . Call Peter! ;)

I thought I wanted the 3250DD for my application but Peter told me that the 3400 OFe would be better, less noisy and less notchy on the shifting. The 3400 OFe holds 450hp at the rear wheels which is about 515hp at the flywheel. I am very happy with it so far. Light pedal with the HD clutch master and slave. That is a must! I drove my truck home from the installer with my stock, non adjustable clutch hydraulics and while the pedal was light, the clutch was right on the floor and wouldn't full disengage. I installed the HD hydros myself and adjusted the rod on the clutch master and got a NICE pedal position that fully disengages and starts engaging about 3 inches off the floor.

it all depends on your future plans for the truck. you have to think where you want your truck to be in years to come to make the decision. if your COMPLETELY happy with what you have now i would say that the 3400 OFe that Motorhead stated would suit you just fine. if you enjoy the added horsepower of your EDM80 injectors,TS Ramifier,SPS62/80 and AFE intake then your should just go ahead and get the DD. obviously you like modifying your truck so i would guess that you are not done doing so and i dont think you would want to drop the transmission twice :)
