Note the dam boxes are tapered on these trucks!!! normal width at the cab,,cant recall like 4/5 inches narrower at the tailgate... guy that worked at chev in the 80's did there boxes screwy then he got a job at dodge and screwed them up as well, guy should be tar'd and feathered, MORON!

are they the same size on both trucks, or bigger on our 2500s? i'm looking at a used camper shell.
thanks!

I have one I'd give you or any TDR member who wants it but it's in Lubbock, TX. It's white, made by one of the top names in the industry, an excellent brand, can't remember now what the brand name was. It's white 8' long bed, was on an '01 Ram. I took it off in 2004 when I bought a fifth wheel travel trailer. It's been sitting at a friend's old Chevy scrap yard ever since.

Only problem is I had a Transfer Flow aux tank in the bed and used a hole saw to cut an opening for the fill neck flange in the driver's side front panel. The Transfer Flow cast aluminum bezel is still mounted in the panel.

I think he was referring to the original poster who has a Gen I and a Gen II in his signature and he was confused about the truck year for a moment.

sorry to have missed that detail; it is for the 95.

also, what about 3rd gen bed size? same as 2nd gen?

2nd gens are tapered, and the 3rd gens are moreso.

a 2nd gen shell will overhang the sides on a 3rd gen at the back.

model years being the same the beds are the same between a 1500-2500-3500
