Lot of opinions here i'm sure... .

It's time to get a pair of seat covers for 1st Gen... front buckets only.

I've had the sheepskin before but I'm leaning towards Wet Okoles due to their durability and able to take abuse.

Key points i'm looking for are quality and fit - they gotta fit good - don't want buldges and loose fabric.

So - what do you like and why?

Good thread 19Kgvw. At the time I can say any seat covers without holes in them. LOL

My drivers has the normal left side gash. I've got to do something soon and I know it. I will be following these posts.

Thanks.

bmoeller,,, What's matter? Cold weather blues. LOL. Just playing.

thanks... . there's a lot of different companies out there and one person couldn't know them all.....

also..... my foam is shot on the left too but the fabric is fine - maybe have the foam rebuilt so I can keep the stock seats.

I have been looking for some time as well for a while now, but there are very few out there that accomodate the seat belts that are mounted in the seat back (98 Quad-cab).

Not that keen on cutting and sewing a new seat cover to suit at this time.

Any other recommendations out there?

Wet Okole seat covers have the cutouts for the seat belts, the headrests, the seat adjuster, and the metal tabs on the back seat for attaching a child restraint.

I have Wet Okoles (almost 7 years old now). I like the fit and finish, but the thin color layer of fabric has mostly worn away and they look awful now. Been meaning to get them repaired for a few years now. They began to wear off after just a couple years.

It may be partially my fault - I put them in the wash machine once.

bmoeller - who is that woman!

I am in the same boat with my Okoles. They have been great and seen a lot of abuse but they do need to be replaced as they look bad at this point over 8 years and 200k with them. Do I think they were worth the money, yes. My seats underneath still look brand new. In addition to the okoles there is also Coverking same type covers as the okoles and through costco online they are quite a bit cheaper. Over xmas they were 139. 00 a row. I think regular is 169. 00. I have a set of those in my little honda car and so far they are holding up quite well though they dont see any abuse and only have about 38k on them. The okoles appear to be a bit better quality but time will tell.

The Okoles have a penchant for fading and do not breathe all that well, That said, they are still my choice for fit and finish. They fit like a glove.

I got Marathons, love them so far, 4 years with the dog, 2 crewmen and me, and the dog can bring some dirt. The fit is superb, and like the other guy said, you talk to a real human bean in Montana. They're more expensive, but I sure do like mine. Haven't had them off yet, just a quick scrub and we're ready. This is shrimp boat crew I'm talking about, we're right nasty dirty from time to time. I might like bmoeller's cover better, tho.

I've got the Geno's ones that are like a jeans material. I like them... ... ..... but want sheepskins. Anyone know who makes sheepskins that fit our application (with the seatbelt integrated into the seat)?

I don't believe in seat covers. That's why I purchased my truck with leather. If and when the leather wears out, I'll have it re-upholstered. If I've been doing very dirty work I have large beach towels to put over the seats. Don't cover your seats, enjoy them. Cover them when you wear them out.

My truck will not go to the junk yard when it get old with brand new seats in it.
