My truck has been kind of a dog since I got it a couple years ago, and I recently added a pusher on the intake and a turbo back 4” exhaust, and a boost/EGT gauge. I now have way more power than I did and the boost has no problem getting up to 29 lbs.

I also installed a FASS 95 and bought, but haven’t downloaded a Smarty so no extra fuel.

When I put the pusher on, I think I found the cause of my lack of power, a possible leaking intake.

My question is, will that extra boost (with out any extra fuel) hurt anything?

I have read lots of threads and think I figured out why I am getting the extra boost, but I cant find an answer to weather it will hurt in these circumstances.

from my understanding of a deisel it doesnt have the same problem as a gasser in running lean witch will melt a piston.

I agree with MA2LA... . To much gas and/or to much timing will lean out the mix and the heat will weaken the aluminum and the compression will cause the piston to fail. If it is done long enough in a not so severe lean condition you will actually weaken the rings and get a lot of blow-by. Same thing as running nitrous w/o adding extra fuel or not enough. Overheat the charge and lose the parts. That is the benefit to diesels... Heavier duty parts, better quality, more air is a positive and not a negative. To a point anyway.

Eureka! An air horn!:-laf I would never had guessed that. I thought "Pusher on the intake" was another "charger mounted on the intake". :--)

Sorry been out of town wheeling my Jeep in Clayton Ok.

Yes, I got the Pusher “brand” horn on the intake, sorry for the confusion.

It's good to hear the extra air isn't going to hurt.

Should it be defueling above 20 psi? It doesn't feel like it is, but may be.
