A sticking FCA will cause the erratic idle, and the RPM's to hang up when you shift.

I think that you are correct. After driving my self crazy i realized that my fuel is cutting out at 30 psi thats why i can't boost any further. I have a feeling that the FCA is the culprit. I am going to switch it out today and see what happens.

Tryed the FCA and no luck. I think it has to be the APPS. I was looking at it and it looks like just 2 screws and some clips. I'm gonna switch it out tomorrow with my friend's. Is it ok to do that/will it work or is it specific to each truck somehow?

It should be the same if one truck does not have the movable pedals. It could be that but wasn't the same problem there on your friends truck? No boost over 35 psi with just the Smarty?

Yes it was and i think it may have been the program or the Smarty itself. After i switched the Smarty at XDP he now hits 45 psi and for me its the same even with the MP8 stacked. I guess there is/was a combination of a couple of things. I've done so many things and changed so many sensors and programmers that i am getting confused myself. I am sorry C. But i think switching out the Smarty actually fixed that problem.

Ah, I was wondering. Missed that in your posts. so switching the Smarty to a new box solved the problem on your friends truck but not yours.

Yeah, you have hit just about everything but the APPS or ECU now. The 06 ECU's just seem to be a little problematic at times. Hope its not that but keep it in mind if the APPS doesn't work.

This thing has me completely worn out. Today i switched pedals with my friends truck(very easy to do by the way) and went for a quick ride. Wot the truck went to 25psi and then cut out completely. Wot again and same thing. I put my pedal back on and Wot throttle with mine cut out also around 25psi. I did not realize that it needed to be driven for a few miles until the pedal calibrated itself. After a few miles all was back to normal at 30psi max again. So i needed to keep my friend's pedal on for a few miles to see if would have made a difference. I guess i will try again tomorrow. I will also switch the IAT sensor with my friends if the pedal does not work. After that i am DONE! Will bring it to a local diesel mech. and i guess put it on the scanner to check all sensor parameters and go from there.

Thanks for staying on the phone with me today all day TODD! I hope youre IAT sensor idea works if the pedal does not tomorrow or for the first time in it's life someone other than myself will be touching my engine. I don't know if i can do it but i'll try. LOL
