Just got my invoice, and no chrome package is on mine. The steps are on it from the factory. It shows the adjustable pedals, which i didn't order, and no remote start which i did order. Haven't talked to the dealer yet, but i will!!

Talked to the dealer today, and they said the factory screwed up. It doesn't matter who screwed up, because i will be getting the remote start installed by the dealer, and the adjustable pedals will stay on the truck at no charge.

the pedals may be part of a package, i like the moveable pedals. i was told my truck is in Nashville TN, thats only 1 hour from my house. Hopefully i get it tuesday

Stopped in at the dealer this morning to check on the status of my truck. The sales manager told me it was in paint right now and has a scheduled ship date of 8/30/10. Said it usually takes 30 days from the ship date to arrive at the dealership. :{



He also just got their 1st shipment of 2011's and he confirmed that the chrome package is now standard on all Laramies. (Now it makes sense why we couldn't select that option when ordering. ) I was hoping he had an '11 dually Laramie, but he hasn't received any yet. Said he had one coming in next week and would call me so I could come look at the aluminum wheels. (of course I would need to do that if some certain person would take a few pictures and post them for us... Not to name any names... . dodgesst)



Anyway, that's my 2011 ship date, update... .

That's interesting - mine is supposed to ship on 8/30 as well. I wonder if that's a default date they stick on all the orders... ...



I received a priced order confirmation from my dealer earlier this week and am still confused about the chrome package - if it's standard on the Laramies, I wonder why I'm being charged for the side step bars that used to be part of the chrome package???



Being in Houston, I guess our trucks don't have the transit delays from the Mexican plant that your dealer sees - my dealer is still saying that, if it ships on 8/30, it should be here the 2nd week of September. I have my doubts, but we'll see.

That is interesting Rusty, same date, hmmm... I wish mine would be here on the 2nd week of Sept. I've sold my '06 and not having a truck is turning out to be a bigger inconvenience than I thought. Guess it's one of those "you don't know what ya got til it's gone" things... So now for me its not just I want my new truck any more, it's I need a truck period!



As far as the chrome pack, I think it's gone back to the way it was when I ordered the '06. The Laramies come standard with everything the chrome pack would have given you except the side steps. They're now the only part of the old package that's an option (which I ordered). From my figuring, we're around $600 ahead here without having to option the whole $1200 package...

Not true for 2011 (guess I should have been more specific). The laramies come standard with chrome body side moldings and you have an option for chrome side steps. Not sure if the fuel door is available any more. I know you can't option it from the factory, but you can probably do it as a dealer add-on. All I really wanted was the chrome body side moldings and steps (in addition to the standard Laramie chrome mirrors and door handles), so I'm happy about the changes.

:-laf I'm getting impatient. That, and the fact that my '06 is sold and no longer my truck. I decided to go and change the sig. I already have the accessories and I know what's coming on the truck so, why not I figured... .

I know what you mean, when i bought the 03 i had sold my 97 and had to wait for almost 3 months. I drove a friends S10 and i'm 6' 6". (not Good)

I'm driving my Jeep TJ for now. I usually just drive it on nice days with the top off and that's just every once in a while. It's pretty much a trail vehicle. It's getting the job done though, but the bed space leaves something to be desired... :-laf:-laf
