Geno's Garage - "got diesel?" Contest (Ends: June 15, 2010)

This Ain't No Show 'n Shine BD Giveaway (Ends: September 30, 2010)

Hey this is cool, I dont get a chance to come around a whole lot anymore, but try to keep up with whats going on in TDR land. I was actually fortunate enough to win the first TDR/Southbend clutch giveaway, many years ago. The clutch is still sitting on the shelf as a backup because the original southbend i had purchased from peter just wont die. congrats to whoever wins. Its pretty cool to have a website and vendors like what is around here.

Why I should get it

I think I should get it because my clutch on my 06 is starting to slip. If my clutch slips, I can't use my truck. If I can't use my truck, I cant go to work. If I can't go to work, I can't make any money. If I can't make any money, I can't renew my subscription to TDR. If I can't renew my subscription to TDR, I can't enter the TDR contests. If I can't enter the TDR contests, I can't win a new clutch. If I can't win a new clutch, I can't use my truck. If I can't use my truck ... ... ... ... ... You get the idea.

I do have a 2000 auto, but Dad on the other hand still has his 93 that he would not trade for the world for! Would buy another just not available like those anymore. So come on and pick me so I Can keep Dad's old 93 running for another 17.

The winner is...

I think i should win because the 00 Dodge is slipping bad and has been for a while.

It makes me keep the power level on the edge low on the dial.

With the Air Dog flowing fuel in great quantity

The truck with the bad clutch cant be driven the way i want it to be.

With a double disk clutch from the great South Bend company, after the install,

I will finally be able to show those Fords what a real truck is once and for all.

With a new clutch no blue ovals in sight, happy to say its true,

The only ones i can see are the ones in the dust, looking through my rear view.

After all the towing is done and lesser trucks have been passed,

Its the South Bend Double Disk that has made it possible to complete the task.

With the power of the Cummins the only thing i need to say

You should just throw that DD over my way. :-laf

I'm currently running my third Southbend DD in my 06. This clutch has served me well for four years as a daily driver and sledpuller at about 600hp. I considered this winter having 34 hooks on pulling it out to see what it looked like but as it still acted like the day I put it in I decided to gamble another season. 48 hooks to date and still going strong, be ready for it Peter because I don't think I'll be gambling another season. Kudos to Southbend and their quality products.

I would love a shot at this cluth I have a Single in it now and it is starting to act up. It has close to 100,000 on it and it has seen it far amount of abuse now I have the TST PDA in it and I think that the next step is going to have to be a DD. Good luck to all

We Are Still Deciding ...

We haven't forgot that we owe you a winner. We've narrowed it down to two entries, and we are "duking it out" over here.

Winner to be posted by close of business on Friday, September 3.

Thank you.

Are you guys gonna leave us hanging in anticipation ALL weekend... ?? ;)

If it's THAT close a call, maybe you can talk Peter into giving away TWO clutch sets !! Oo. :-laf:-laf

Better Late Than Never

OK, these were all winning entries, but due to the cost of the goodie, we have to limit ourselves here:

The winner of the random drawing and a one-year complimentary renewal to the TDR is . . . tkerrigan (post 11)!

And the winner of the South Bend Double Disk Clutch is . . . seafish (post 52)!

And the crowd cheered . . . .

Congratulations to you both. I will be in touch with you next week to finalize the details.

Wooohooooo... . as my wife said, four years of college and a well used thesaurus have finally paid off!! :-laf
Like many of us who entered, I have been babying this oem DMF clutch along for the last 10k miles, and I only have 65k on the truck. MANY thanks to TDR and SBC for the opportunity to win something important for my truck that I really DO need. And special thanks to Robin for working on a Saturday and posting this on a day off... it's a really nice way to start the weekend... think I am going to start working on some of those Betty Crocker Recipe Contests now... :-laf :-laf
