OK, let's get something rolling for October. Thank you, ACoyle, for the idea. Let's see who can "rack up" enough points to win a Mag-Hytec transmission pan *AND* differential cover.

Here is how it will work:

1. Create a post on this thread by simply replying with your name. Give yourself 5 points for simply getting involved.

2. Post a picture of your odometer. Give yourself 2 points for each 10,000 miles. (If you need help posting a photo, contact Robin - TDR Admin).

3. Post your truck's information - make/model/year. Give yourself 1 point for each year of age on your truck. If you have a 2010 truck, you get 1 point. If you have a 2009 truck, you get 2 points. 2008 trucks get 3 points, etc.

3. Post *helpful* threads on the site during October. Give yourself a point for every helpful post you make. NOTE: Posts must be meaningful, not LOL or the like. (You can keep up with this by searching for your posts since October 1, 2010).

4. On November 1, count your score and post your result. We will verify the top 3 points values.

WINNERS:

* 1st Place - highest point value - free Mag Hytec Transmission Pan *AND* Differential Cover. (Note: If you already have Mag Hytec pans, you can trade this credit in at Geno's Garage).

* 2nd Place - Second highest point value - free filter kit from Geno's Garage.

* 3rd Place - Free renewal to the Turbo Diesl Register.

OK, you've got to work a bit to win this one, but you have to admit the prize it worth it!

Let's get busy. Post your entries and start keeping your score.

If you need help, just contact Robin - TDR Admin for help.

Good luck.

ADDITIONAL PRIZE ADDED 10/05/10:

I am adding an additional 1st Place Prize. Of everyone who participates, I will throw their name into a pot and randomly draw a 2nd 1st Place Winner. The 2nd 1st Place Winner gets either a Transmission Pan *or* Differential Cover. This is the ONLY winner that will be selected by random drawing. Note: I will exclude any posts that are not active participants. You have to be trying to rack up actual points to be included in this drawing.

That incents everyone to play!

I'll settle for 1/2 of 1st place, I need the diff cover but I'll give the PRNDL21 pan to a deserving automatic driver.

Then both of my Rams will have Mag-Hytec diff covers!

This'll be a fun one. Here's the initial Post. - 5 for the post

You're Correct

Yes, just keep editing your original post. Otherwise, I will get dazed and confused and anything could happen (snicker).

 13 - '98

We should get a point for every year we've *owned* the truck; I bought mine new in '97 (13 years ago this month, come to think of it). And 2 points for every 10K miles we've *driven* it. But this gets back to the t-shirt I never got around to printing: "Wah! I want the rules so I can win!" :)

I assume helpful posts in the Politics forum don't count? Man, I could win on them alone! :D :D

Let's see. I'm down 100 points. I need to put up three helpful posts every day this month to catch up.

Don't forget, Robin said pictures of odometer required! I see against you uber hi-mileage guys, I don't stand a chance.

Good Point GCroyle

GCroyle, you make a great point, so I am adding an additional 1st Place Prize. Of everyone who participates, I will throw their name into a pot and randomly draw a 2nd 1st Place Winner. The 2nd 1st Place Winner gets either a Transmission Pan or Differential Cover. This is the ONLY winner that will be selected by random drawing. Note: I will exclude any posts that are not active participants. You have to be trying to rack up actual points to be included in this drawing.

Nice catch, CGroyle.

I thought I'd wait till the end of the month to post the picture. I know I'll have over 780k, and could be close to 790. And I am participating when I have an internet connection.

Multiple Trucks Question

Wow, I did not anticipate that one. Sorry, you've got to pick one and go with it.

Great question!

Okay, 'nuther question. On the original post about the contest I don't see Dodge or Cummins mentioned. Is that a requirement or any truck gas or diesel?

PS: Be careful you don't get caught without internet access on the last day, GAmes:-laf
