better of to add a brite box and fogzilla add on, 100 w bulbs in the fogs make a big difference and both hi n low on with them and you can really see! Been running this setup since 06 and it is great!

I know from experience that PIAA bulbs are excellent. A 55W PIAA preforms as bright as 85 or 100w cheap bulb. However they are a ton of money, and I am not sure I will continue to buy them.

I have to agree, you will not be disappointed with the build quality and performance of the Piaa products. They are not the cheap, but quality items rarely are.

Also, don't get hung up on the wattage. How a lamp is engineered (to put the light where it is needed) is more important than the wattage. For comparison, gas truck owners will brag that they have 400HP compared to our 300HP. We all know that one specification is not the whole picture when it comes to performance.

I do want to point out that "how are the Piaa lamps" is good question, but maybe not a complete question. To better answer that, think about what aspect of your light performance you feel needs the most improvement for where you live, where you drive, and when you drive.

This subject has been discussed in some detail lately. Here is a post with some discussion on these lights, and some links to other posts about fog and driving lights.

Good luck with your project.

Yes I did that same kit and here is my observation-

The fit was good

The light output was good for that size lamp

They are a "driving light" so way too bright for oncoming traffic and have no beam control on top so plenty of scattered light in oncoming drivers eyes. So you don't want to use them as a fog lamp.

If you wire them to the OEM fog circuit then you can only use them on low beam, kinda dumb when those and the oem high makes more sense.

I have a good high beam supplement on a light bar so needed a low beam supplement, I took them out and sold them in favor of a lamp that oncoming traffic can tolerate.

Fog & low beam lamps are better mounted low where driving lights are better mounted higher so I don't recommend them.
