Should I buy off my lease?
My truck is coming off lease. I can buy my truck for $14,500. The truck has 73,000 miles on it. The truck has never had a programmer. Just a cat back exhaust. I am reading all of these stories about how there trucks have injector issues and destroy the motor. The truck is in good shape. It has always been serviced, as far as coolant, oil and fuel filter changes. The truck has been very good to me. My worries. Two times last year I started my truck when it was 80-90 outside and let it idle so the ac could cool the truck. The ac didn't blow cold air? I started down the road and the truck got cold air very soon. Then never lost it for the rest of the trip, sitting in traffic or running down the road. I was thinking it could be the fan clutch going out. It has only done this twice since I have owned the truck but something to note. I am thinking if the fan clutch didn't engage the truck build to much head pressure. The other thing and this could be just me. I have tried to start it two different times and it didn't start in the normal number of cranks. I also have a 2009 2500 Hemi Ram as a company truck. I drive this truck much more than the 06. The 09 has that one touch start were you turn the key and let go, it will crank the truck till it starts without your hand on the key. I may have just let off the key too fast. The truck runs good, doesn't smoke at all. I just thought injectors? My truck can sit all week in the cold Michigan weather not plugged in and fire up with no issues, so I don't really think I have a problem there. But worth noting. For the same money I can't get a truck like it or even close. This truck has no dent, rust, scratch's nothing. Has not been in a crash. I have always cared for it and never abused it. I didn't lease it to hot rod, I always wanted a diesel to pull my 20' open trailer when I go up north with our quads. This truck has not been asked to work hard. Before this truck a 360 in a 1500 dodge did the same job for 8 years. Should I buy it off lease? Should I buy it off lease sell it and move on? Should I let it go back? I am asking these question just because I don't want to end up with a big problem and a expensive repair bill. A gas motor will do what I need to do just not nearly as easily or with the same economy. Thanks for your thought and reading my long winded bs. I may just be way overthinking this
