Thanks, TDR Staff

2013 ram 3500 6.7 remove front axles rh ???

Looks good. . Just a not that manual trans trucks are rated at 350 hp, not 305.

Do you know what they are doing to make the EB stronger?

Seventh paragraph.

Columbus at they replaced

I have a 2011 2500HD Auto do you know if they are going to make a retrofit kit for the earlier 2011 trucks. Would like to increast my towing capacity.

Its very unlikely considering there are drivetrain upgrades as well. . Probably cheaper to sell your 11 and buy another one.

Also the improved towing is only available on the 3500 DRW's, but the 800 rating will be available on all auto 6. 7's.

Thanks for the up-date, nice report.

The only problem I see is the DW, see said NO. We do not need another new vehicle. The only I have is good enough, especially after all of the money I have put in it.

So I will have to make do with my 08 Dodge.

I too am in that group of early MY2011 wanting to have the high output upgrade. I realize that its probley not going to happen.

Yep, all of life is timing, isn't it? :{ It's like buying a computer - before I can get it home and set up, it's obsolete. #@$%!

Oh, well, I don't know that I've ever had to use full throttle towing our 5th wheel to date, so I guess I'd probably never see the benefit. Bragging rights would be nice, though. :-laf

Great report Steve, thanks !

I've been a frustrated new truck buyer waiting for improved tow ratings. Looks like my patience and common sense are going to pay off, I'll be getting one of these new and improved Rams.

The increase in the GCWR is what I was really waiting for, the additional power is the icing on the cake. I know the current truck will do what I need it too but I was not going to spend that kind of money on a truck that was not RATED to do what I need it too regardless of the truck's ability. I did not want to be my "own warranty station".

Kudos to Ram for the much needed increase in the truck's ratings !

Did I read the same article? I did not see any mention of a stronger exhaust brake or that the tow rating only applied to 3500 DRW trucks. In another thread, mention was made about the 4. 10 gear, I did not see any of that either:confused:

Steve, thanks for the report. I understand the tow rating and GCWR increases they announced are for the dually. Did you hear anything about the payloads, tow ratings and GCWR's for the 3500 SRW being increased?

Nick,

I didn't read anything about a stronger exhaust brake either.

The tow rating information and mention of the "new 4. 10 gear" was in the posted report. I did read that.

All Ram 2500s and 3500s with the Cummins option will get the new HO engine but only the Ram dually will get the new 30,000# GCWR and 18,500# trailer tow rating.

I am glad to see a mention of a new gear set for the rear and an aluminum pumpkin cover. I do thing that the dually has a heat problem with the rear pumpkin. I have had to repaint mine several times. The dealer has said several times that the paint peel was normal. I installed an extra large aluminum cover a while back.

I just read Steve's article again, even watched the video, nothing is said about my questions posted above???!!! Where am I missing it???
