JUST ONE OFF SUBJECT QUESTION... ...

anybody know which Kubota uses the ISB engine? It must be a piece of construction equipment.

Actually the Kubota engine in question is the power plant for a Carrier-Transicold commercial transportation refridgeration units. Not sure exactly which model unit it is. From what I have been able to gather, the Kubota CT4-134DI 4 cyl. diesel engine. Maybe someone else who have more experience and knowledge in the trucking/refer trailer industry might be able to verify?

Here is a link where you might find a number of these engines and their applications:

my 12v hasn't died in the last month or so of running the 7317, picked it up from granger as that seemed to be about as cheap as can be found, shipping more then replaced tax and the filter was decently priced, i can't remember what i paid though

Anyway you can check and find out what you paid for your filters? I paid $11. 30 each for 24 filter plus $33 shipping from BF Web Express.

Alway great to find a cheaper source.

I've been using the Baldwin Bd7317 for a while now oil stays cleaner longer pressure is the same as it's always been. Long Island truck parts has the filter on the shelf at the same price as the standard replacement... .

Sad FACT is that if your truck is newer than a 2002, The factory oil pressure gauge is not a gauge at all

They stopped using a transducer that reads ACTUAL pressure and instead, replaced it with a cheap 6psi switch on the 2003-present. Instead, they use a computer algorithm to calculate what "normal" pressure should be at a given RPM and temp #@$%!

I 'gauge' oil pressure of the BD7317 that I'm using on both of my trucks based off of what I see on my '92 that still has a transducer.

Someday soon I will install a REAL pressure gauge in my '09 ;)
