Well, like I have previously posted, I really dislike these tires. They are likely the worst tires on snow, packed snow, slush, ice etc. , that i have every had.
The wife's Dakota was down, and I was hesitant to have her drive the ram, not because she isn't perfectly capable, because she is. She has driven it through some of the bigger winter wasties that Maine has to offer. We normally have BFG TA/KOs on it though.
I told her these tires suck so be extra careful. She was. She is ok, but the truck now needs $3000 worth of work. Going down a hill, the truck started to slide, she went into a ditch, caught the culvert with the rear and busted the U-bolts. The rear tire went into the fender well, and it dropped the drive shaft.
The tires are only about 35% worn. Doesn't matter. They sucked new, they will suck old. Have I said these tires suck? They do!
Just my opinion, and experience. Your mileage may vary. If I have encouraged one person not to buy them that will experience real winter driving, then I will take a little comfort in that. The truck could easily have gone into an on coming logging truck. This is probably a good Los Angeles Tire. Just carry chains if you go up to Big Bear!
Sorry BFG, I hope yu will take me back!
