I know anything about HB. He said the first part of that in a post about me so it sounded good to use as retaliation. I have a beer most days before dinner to wash the trail dust down if thats being a drunk then a drunk Iam. As for the second part of that get a license and get some A** time in a seat and then some might take what is said about driving a LITTLE MORE SERIOUSLY

Gale, I don't see your posts unless someone quotes one of them and even then, only when they show up in my email as notification of new posts to a thread I once subscribed to.

I wonder why you used to send me lots of pms asking me for opinions and recommendations if you think I am a wannabe? Did you, perhaps, wannabe like me?

jelag, the VGT in the 6. 7 has a purpose other than as an EB, I would imagine you must keep the EB off if the new engine brake is installed, and will the VGT be effected in other modes. Do you remove the function of VGT altogether? Also can you use both at the same time?

If my interpretation of the information is correct, the engine brake works with and enhances the exhaust brake. The engine brake activates at the same the exhaust brake does via electronic control.

My 2012 has a GCVW of 22,650, I feel the factory brake is just fine, I would find little use for more

I thought the Max Tow was rated for 30,000 GCWR? I think commercial haulers in the west could use one but for personal use the exhaust brakes seems enough. If I had one, I am sure I could find a use for it:D

What about regen when injecting into exhaust stroke?

How does it work with just the EB? I assune the integration of the controllers will stop the regen when EB is applied. or, maybe it doesn't matter? The physical diagram of how the brakes work together is one thing, the electronic integration is another. Probably have to get more info from the manufacturer about how they did the integration to the existing system. That part was not detailed and they may not want to explain that too well, competetive adnvantage and all.

anyone got updates on the pacbrake loadleash?
ha anyone here put a lot of miles on one yet? wondering if its gonna be very reliable or effective.

I don't see the benifit over the turbo brake if the turbo brake gives enough braking power to suit me.
The engine brake appears to work just like the one's on the big rigs, same process. No harm to anything just a funtion of engine.
I can't see spending money on an extra braking service when the turbo provides ample braking power.

I could have used a little more exhaust brake going down Wolf Creek Pass last year. Third gear all the way up and down. Going down had to stab the brakes occasionally to keep speed from getting too high.

The GCW was 24,360#.
