Not sure what truck you have, since your signature is not filled out, but you posted in the 2nd gen forum... so we will assume you have a 2nd gen :).

The P0602 code on a 3rd gen, is a "checksum error code", which means nothing more than a nuisance code. Sometimes the ecm gets confused, mine will usually clear after a few key cycles. A 2nd gen may have a different meaning...

I looked it up in the Powertrain manual. It states ECM FUELING CALIBRATION ERROR. Set condition: If any parameter is out of range for 1 second, a DTC is stored and the MIL is illuminated. Possible causes listed are 2. The first - Specific good trip counter not equal to 0. The other is ECM defective. I would erase the code and see if it comes back. If it does more than likely it is a bad ECM.

I have one of Marco's original "catcher" ecm's. This code present since day one, and never goes away, along with 0501. Marco says not to worry about it.

The code does clear out but does come back. This truck is a 2002 with thw smarty. Do not remeber the code in the past. Still trying to fix a the electric promblems it has.

Go to the Mads website and read instructions, then scratch the hair off your head... :-laf. After you manage it once, it gets easier and plenty of folks here who will assist.
