Mike, you make that haul? Geez BSchwarzli, looking at the other thread and seeing your cool '90 is making me miss my '92.

I would love to go. Problem is it is 3000km ( 1864 miles ) and about 30 hours of driving just to get there. HMM Gotta give it some thought though. Shad

My son and I went in 2011, did both the Warren plant and the CMEP tours. Had a great time!!!

We were talking on the way home tonight, trying to remember how many miles we put on the Mega Cab that week. Over 3000 for sure. Went from Lincoln, Maine to Detroit, Michigan. Toured the Detroit Metro area and points North for one whole day. Did the Warren tour, then headed for Columbus with the Ontario crowd. Then from Columbus to Indy and back. Then Columbus back to Lincoln, Maine.

Ready to do it again, a little less mileage without the Detroit detour..... :D

Mike. :)

Been dying to spill the beans. But now I can! Oo.

Cummins midrange Engine Plant Tour and TDR gathering is a go!! Oo.

That almost sounds like too much fun. I bet between touring the engine plant and hearing so many Cummins engines in one spot I would be in sensory overload

I would love to go, quickly trying to hash out the dates we are headed to Wyoming. We have been leaning on early to mid June due to schedule conflicts from my parents, Im waiting to hear back from them as to whether or not we could push it back a week or so. Im guessing the passes will go pretty quickly. It sure does sound like a really nice event.

Or more video that you'll never get posted... ... :D:D

We'll be there...

Mike.

Yes. Valid slap for me. Sadly true. :D ;)

And that was before I cleaned it up! :D

LOL Like the Corrals did ya? :D Me too!

Yes, will likely be there. HQ is still working on that part though so hang in there... .

Had a feeling you would be coming along again! :)

Heck, I once dove to SLC UT for an event! was 10K KM round trip! So its not that far! :D

Yes, they wont be gone in a day or two, but I would not wait too long either.

Hate to sound stupid but when & where is it. If it is in Columbus, IN I only live about 25 miles from there.

Jack,

Go all the way to the top of this page, all the way to the left in the black bar it says "TDR Home".

Hit that, then the Columbus info is right there.

Mike.

Robert By any chance will the Mighty Crew Cab be ready? Shad

I am hell bent on having it debut there! As long as nothing stupid happens and I don't have to practically live at work like the last two winters, yes. So far this year (January) I already have 150 hours into the truck (yeah yeah... . I will update the thread soon! :D) so if I can continue this pace, it is very doable! :)

Also, Robert, any preferences on housing? I'm sure CERALand is nice, but hows' the hotel? Preferences? I've got my horse trailer with living quarters that's pretty nice, I've stayed in it quite a bit... . But not dragging a trailer 900+ miles would be preferable... . And I have to consult the cows to see if I can take off..... :(

 And what truck do I take?!?! The '98 12v Conversion gets great mileage, looks nice, and is super comfy, just not the powerhouse to play with when I get there... . The '97 conversion is comfy, too, but not tried and true. The twins and new transmission need to be installed before I go that far!! The '03 is nice, but a bit of a monster to drive around town... . And the '93 is pretty nice, with all my tools in it, but just not as driver friendly on such a long trip..... These things will make you go crazy.....

I'm not Robert but I will tell you that the Hotel was very nice, no complaints at all with it in 2011.

Very easy to get to and not far from Ceraland when you head out to the gathering.

I see that it is no longer a Holiday Inn, but the facilites are unchanged judging from the pictures. I'll stay there with no worries.

Mike, thanks! I really should have just openly asked. I'm open to most suggestions, and appreciate the feedback. I'm torn on which to do... . I like the idea of being at the RV grounds so I don't have to drive much... . but I like the hotels for peace and quiet... I can get in the middle of things when I'm wound up, but getting older makes me want to stay on the outskirts and just watch and relax... ... My trailer is a gooseneck, and not very heavy, so it's easy to pull and park. I'm not much of a professional RV'er, though..... Hmmm... . Maybe it just depends on which truck I decide to take. :D

I'm trying to remember exactly how long it took from Hotel to campground, I'll ask Seth at lunch time. 15 minutes maybe?? Not far.

Also the Hotel is right off the highway so there are convenience stores, fast food, etc. all close by. One store with the essentials (beer, ice, hot dogs, fuel) is at the edge of the Hotel driveway.

Mike.

Yeah, the hotel was very nice. And correct on it no longer being the Holiday Inn. I will likely stay there again so that means it cant be too bad! :)

As much as I would like to stay at CERAland too, by the time you calculate fuel and all, for the cost of the hotel its almost not worth it in this case. And besides, I will likely be hauling the crew down as I am not sure I want the first miles far from the garage and tools! LOL Would also feel bad if the 1990 stayed home! :D
