Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting How bad did I screw up?

Thanks Patriot. I placed an order last night. I had read the same thing about Magpul concentrating on black, which works for me. Now, I am excited.

Okay, first off... . Cuyahoga Falls... . just saw that. My SIL was a surgeon there... . hope you never met her..... squirrel...



First off, I don't deliberately hide anything from my wife. She has her money, and I have mine... . which she uses... She's a good one, though. She only uses my money on the house and kids. If she wants something, she uses her money. She only complains if I complain about money... or she gets tired of mowing around the Dodges in my yard... . usually the latter. I have, however, not mentioned certain things to her. I won't deliberately omit anything, but I may not mention it..... As for guns, she never complains about that, as it's something I did before she came along, and she likes to shoot, too. That kind of money is pretty big money for some people, and if it's gonna cause a big problem, I'd suggest coming clean. They'll find out, sooner or later, usually. And with all the "assault rifle" BS on the TV, she'll probably recognize it as something you didn't have before..... Now, if she's not gonna care as long as you have the money for it, then I'd start saving my money and tell her you want to buy something..... And if you put it on a credit card, she's gonna see it anyway, if she pays the bill..... And you need to get that paid off before you have to pay the interest on it!!! IMO, everyone should do without a little more, put some money in savings, and pay off what they have as soon as they can. If we see another fiasco like Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, it may cause a lot more damage than the last time... . I think you'd be better off with a house and the money to pay the bills than a 72" TV sitting on the bare floor of your apartment you don't have electricity to turn on. Turn off the cable, the TV, the Playstation, and go paint the trim on the South end of the house before it rots out. Put your stupid I-phone down and go till the small garden in the back yard so you have organic vegatables for your table. Turn off your laptop and get off Facebook and go change your own oil in your CTD(as I'm sitting here watching it rain while I'm on TDR!! )



I've always been honest with my wife. I won't lie to her. And because of that, she trusts me. And I do what's right and make sure I have everything else taken care of before I get something on my want list. If I can't afford it, I don't buy it. That mentality, a work ethic, and mostly God's good grace has paid off my ranches, trucks, and house. I may not have much that's new, but it's paid for.

Usually I am very honest with her! She has put up with a lot from me, health wise ect. The problem is she is very antsy around firearms as her mother commited suicide with her Dad's hunting rifle before I met her! She knows I have a couple of hand guns for self protection. But I don't handle them or talk about them around her. With both of us being married before, we too have our own money and a joint household account. So I didn't spend any of our money! I pay pay the bills and we have NO DEBT, no house, no car, no credit card debt!

I am just torn about telling her because of the bad memories! In the long rad I will tell her because I am not good about hiding anything! Thanks for your input.

It's not getting any better. I waited and thought and pondered and... missed the boat on an AR. Scarce as hen's teeth. I was at Cabela's the other day and they had one! But it was a DPMS Oracle in . 308. Not what I was looking for but there it was. Called the boss and explained how we really needed one and this might be the last chance. SCORE! Then I couldn't find ammo. Finally found some and will be taking it out to see how it runs. I really wanted a . 223 but when Mama says go, you go!

My brother bought a DPMS in 243 and it shoots . 2something MOA @ 100 yds.
Sometimes you get a good one.
